Saban Making A Huge Statement!

Yes, this trade is to free up 4 Mill in Cap space next year.. but i think more than anything this trade to SanDeigo is Nick Saban's alter motive to save our season. He is making a huge statement to Gus, the team , and the fans by saying "he is our guy, he has what it takes to play through these losses and play all 16 games this season" Put some trust back in Gus! I know feely was demoted and only a third stringer.. but nobody see's sage as a starter and doubt they ever will.. it will always have to come back to Feely when gus has a bad game as long as he is on our team. I absolutely love this statement! Gus is gonna shake off his problems this week in KC and get his confidence back..
 
how is that? Feeley was 3rd string. He would have to trade Sage to make a statement
 
Even with Sage third string... im willing to bet unless injury comes to someone.. he has no chance at ever making an NFL start on any team. The team knows what its like to be lead by AJ. (even if its not good) AND two spots back from Gus.... He's still back in the shadows .
 
Sage is our backup, and a lot of people do indeed see him as a viable starting possibility. I know I do. He showed the right kind of game management skills during the preseason to run the offenses. Feeley did not, bottom line.
 
I think hes making a diferent statement and that is we have huge QB problems right now, and this is his solution. So bottomline I think it means, Gus you have two to three weeks to prove your worthy. (Even Though I know hes not) And then Lemon will step in. I think if Saban okayed the trade its because he like the guy and think she can help!

maybe sage will step in first, but Saban wouldnt do this if he thought it wouldnt help out. Only time will tell Jack so out that in your crack pipe and smoke it!

Man, i'm saying if Gus went down, Sage would come in, no doubt. I'm not saying maybe Saban doen't see something in this lemon kid, but if you think he's going to play anytime in the near future, you are a fool.
 
316, I think you should change your medication. I'm sorry your idol AJ got basically cut but get over it, be a fan and root for the team. If Gus is starting, root for Gus. Honestly, I never was a fan of Gus but to put all the blame on him is just wrong. If the o-line would stop putting him in first and 15, if the recievers would man-up and go after the rock the way they should and if we could avoid having TDs called back because of sheer stupidity this would be a better team. We're back home this week, it's a big game, so let's pull together for the team and stop ripping Gus. I have faith in Saban and we all saw what his opinion was of AJ today so for your sake and the sake of intelligent posting in this forum let's turn the page. Try it, you'll feel better.

Lemon has no shot of starting. He's building cap room for a major move in the offseason to get a true starting caliber QB on this team.
Lemon is nothing more than an extra arm for practice that is considerably cheaper than Feeley. He's nothing more, nothing less.
 
Why fool?

We traded for him, I read his biggest asset is he learns quick! man who knows maybe you are right! I just want gus on the bench I dont care who comes in. I just thiknk we cant win with Gus.
