Not true. Shula would have been retained if he had fired 2 assistants that should have never been hired in the first place.I also heard through the grapevine that Saban`s interest in Alabama WAS the reason Shula got fired.No,I dont have a link its just something I heard on a radio station here in NY from an Alabama fan. He stated Sabans name was brought up on campus BEFORE Shula was even fired.
