It seem whenever we get momentum saban and linehan screw it up

in the pats game ronnie had like 10 carries for 55 yards in the first half,

second half they gave him the ball 3 times.

Now Sage gave us sumtin at QB we havent had in what 8 years and now Saban is taking him away and given the start to a guy that looked like he almost died last week.

He needs ti reakiuze that when u have a sub par team and somethign is working or has worked pretty darn well u gotta use it.

Sage has a probelm running the regular Offense, he was running the No Huddle for a whole quarter last week...

Saban is doing the right thing, because we cannot be succesfull running that Offense the whole game, we do not have the personnel to do it, the Chargers will probably be ready for it, so Gus will be running things if he gets the nod on Sunday...

I agree with what you are trying to say. Saban does things from a "book smart" perspective. He draws it all out and tries to make that happen. He tries to always get back to a plan. And that can be good. You need to start out with a plan. But things change. You have to pick up on the changes. You have to go with your gut feelings sometimes (i.e. Chiefs going for win this year instead of tie, Bucs going for two points to win this year). Both those teams are contending for the playoffs too.

This is Saban's first year though. He is playing it safe and by the book.

Are you kidding?? If we lose every game who cares we are far from a playoff team right now. I'll wait a couple of years before I stress over wins and loses.
All I know is I love the way this team is looking and I love the direction of this team. Seau said he doesn't know if he will be back in a fins Uni, but he said he would love to come back because he thinks this team and what Saban is doing here is special. I can wait for the winning and sleep like a baby.

Saban is playing it by the book, his book. But I don't know that that means he his playing it safe. This team, this year, has not simply hidden behind the things it does well, running game etc. Instead, Saban is playing by his book, his plan, his program, which is to work on all the aspects that will make his team successful for the future. Gus has been terrible, but this team will not get to where it needs to go unless it can throw the ball. So instead of playing only to the strengths, Saban has treated this season as a developmental season. Once this team gets to a competitive level, I hope and expect Saban to stresse plays to the teams strenghs in order to win individual games. But, hopefully his plan works and this team becomes solid enough not to have to play to strenghs in order to disguise weaknesses.

Sage had a good quarter, playing against a bad football team, at home that was playing basic coverages.

Sage Rosenfels is not the answer for this franchise. I doubt that he is even on the roster next year. Did you happen to miss his "Ray Lucas like" performance in Cleveland?

Starting Gus is the right thing to do.

I think after the Clevland game it is realy hard to second guess Saban/Scott about who starts at the qb position. I would love it if Sage is the guy and he could go out and play like he did against the bills but I trust our coaches on this.

I agree on the comments about Sage. Impressive.... But hardly a franchise QB. I've recorded the game and there were plays that could've... and against a stonger team.. would've been intercepted. He kept his poise.. which is good.. He built some confidence.. which is good. But he has never won a game in which he was named the starter.
If anything it gives him some consideration for next year.I think Saban and Linehan have been fairly consistent over the past 2 games. Perhaps being on the sideline has helped the offense and perhaps kept Linehan in tune with the pulse of the offensive players.
