DAVIE  Dolphins coach Nick Saban failed to give General Manager Rick Spielman and his staff a vote of confidence after the first day of rookie camp Friday.
"I just know we're in the process of evaluating all the areas of the organization," Saban said. "My focus right now is on this mini-camp . . . and that's our focus as a staff right now. We'll make an evaluation of that in the future, and when we do evaluate, (the media) will be the first one to know about it."
Spielman was on the field for both practices. In title, he is still the GM, but Saban, who has complete organizational control of the team, has referred to Spielman as a "personnel director."
