(On Mike Mularkey’s work as the offensive coordinator and if he has considered a change) – “Mike’s worked very hard, and I think the offensive staff has worked very hard. I think we’ve actually made improvement. I think in the last couple of games, we’ve moved the ball. We aren’t scoring the points we need to make to score, especially early in the games like was mentioned here. That’s something that we have to focus on and do, but I think it’s all of our responsibilities to try to fix that. I think that we’re more interested in trying to develop solutions to help us get better, :boohoo: and if we knew making a change would make it better, we’d probably do it. But I don’t feel that that’s what we need to do right now. I think when we look at what we’re doing, I think when the players look at what we’re doing, I think they see that we can have success if we’ll go do it the right way. I think that needs to be the point of emphasis for us right now, and I think we’re all responsible to find a better way. That’s going to be our approach.

I guess Nick has thought about it and there is nothing that can help save this year. Seems logical to me.

sounds like he's saying "well i cant fire the bum this season but unless we start racking up 400 yds a game this year this loser is gone" Either that or I'm just projecting

No you are right on. This Loser is on the first inter tube out of here as soon as the last game has been........ I guess the word is played but I'm not sure we actually play the games more like the games play with us.

I think what he's saying is, with every QB throwing interceptions, every reciever dropping balls, every RB fumbling, and every other player commiting drive killing penalties, he can't legitimately fire the schmuck right now.

nick, that's the point. everyone see's that there are plays to be made. the problem is in this offense in order to score you have to make 10-12-14 plays in a row to move the ball 60-70-80 yards. we don't have the consistency at the skilled positions nor the run blocking to execute 10+ play drives 2-3-4 times a game. you keep preaching consistency and sure, if we had it, we'd score. but we don't. so, like you say, quit trying the same **** over and over expecting a diffrent result. it ain't gonna happen.

ay, the lad has a point

The clue is "Right Now". Next week is not "right now". That comment might be a preview if whats to come! I really think Saban chose his words very carefully there.

Great post, we need change this crappy offensive philosophy to a more aggressive one and take our yardage in chunks not baby steps.

we could'nt beat buffalo! the guy had all the secret codes and passwords!
c'mon!

He should have tried the Contra code...

Seriously though, you guys DO realize that the O-line is terrible, thus limiting our playbook to dink and dunk type plays right? If our QB's had time to get the ball downfield to our receivers, who would have time to get open, thne we would surely do it.

If Miami loses to Green Bay, Mularkey should be fired, especially with Jim Fassel out there.
