From Saban's PC.

It is impossible to evaluate a specific position when the surrounding players are lacking in the critical factors to succeed.

Has no evaluation of the QB position at this time.

Newsome's injury requires surgery, no details given.

Saban knows nothing about Ricky losing the playbook, neither does the RB coaches. "we don't really have a playbook"

Didn't play Eddie or Ronnie because of lack of practice time.

Some players are not grasping the charateristics they are trying to teach. Saban is hoping for a critical mass of players that will grasp these charateristics to move forward.

Penalties are from a lack of discipline.

nice rundown, pretty much covered it all.

Ricky not having his play sheet is a stupid non-issue. just reporters trying to dig dirt on ricky. If it were travis minor, no one would care.

Saban.. the master of saying absolutely ZERO!!!
I did catch the comment though that wanted to know who told the media that Rickys book was missing.... so he could fire his A$$.... hahahahah!

It also sounds very possible that the cuts will be surprising to us. We'll see who has the brook trout look soon enough, I guess.

I'll say this about the WR play in general: it is going to improve when the receivers start getting time with one QB instead of two. You're looking for timing, and that is really what it takes to improve that sort of issue.

i hope soo cause with the talent we suspose to have at wr we shouldnt have a prob....right??

where is it at on the insider i cant find it.

im sick of the timing excuse. Kyle Orton has played pretty well. He hasn't needed to get timing down. These players are professionals they should be able to hit a open reciever timing or not

The complaint was about hitting receivers in stride, and that most definitely is something you can only do when the players have played together and can work on it.

Gus has been a pro how many years now? He hasn't been in sync for like 30 years
