You know, that Devin is the only draft player from Saban`s Drafts, that in two yeras didn´t make the team , thats a very good numbers.... I know they a few that still need to probe that are good playeres... I really think that the only play that disapoint me is M Wright.... from his drafts choice.....

1 draft:
R Brown= Starter
M Roth= He is improving, and shoold be great
C Crowder: Starter
T Daniels= Starter
A Alaby: He made the 53 in his second year
K Vikerson: Show that he could play,

2 Draft: We need to see how they play, but they made the team:
Jason Allen: I think he sould be a good for next year.
Derek Hagan
J Toledo
F Evans, seems a very good player
R Wright, we still had to see how he play next year.
Devin, is the only one that didn´t made the team.....

Don't forget this year's second round draft pick...some guy named Daunte Culpepper. I think he plays QB...:D

way better than wanny's drafts, prolly all of them combined. :p

In fairness he's remaking the team in his image so his % should be high. I anticipate that the % will go down in subsequent years as the rookies are competing against more Saban-type players.

and the only reason devin did not make it was because of the depth we had a wr, that kid was good at auburn.

This years' draft is not looking good at this point, which I know is too premature for judgment but if Allen wasn't the 1st round pick who cost us alot of money, if he was taken in the 6th or 7th because of injury concerns I don't think he would have made the team. Derek Hagan was good and looks like he has a bright future. Toledo was injury-prone in college and he's already on IR. Fred Evans was a steal in the 7th. Rod Wright is likely out for the year also and Devin was cut and not signed to our practice squad. But as long as Daunte becomes the Franchise QB we've so desperately needed, this draft will be a damn good one.

The negatives: two guys out for the season, a 1st round holdout who got burnt constantly in the preseason, and a guy we had to cut. Plus if you include Manny as our 5th rounder, another guy out for the season and probably won't play for the Phins again.

Last year was a great draft, this year we will have to wait and see.

This team is in the process of being remade. There were a ton of holes to fill last year, and there are still a number of weak spots that will take another year or two to shore up (offensive line, secondary, linebacker). As a result, I'm not at all surprised that the percentage is high (probably higher than for any other coach in the league).

The thing I like is that Saban and Co. seem to be money picking in rounds 1-4. (Ronnie, J. Allen, Crowder & Daniels all likely to be excellent starters, Roth, Hagan and Toledo likely to be talented backups for the next couple years). That's important, because you can really miss out on some stars here. They seem good at finding talent out of nowhere in rounds 5-7 (Alabi, Evans, Vickerson). Unless there are chronic injuries, I don't think Saban will be picking many busts on the first day.

The thing I really like is that they are willing to gamble. It'll get you burnt some times (M. Wright), but there are not afraid to pull the trigger on guys that slipped due to injury (J. Allen, Crowder, Toledo, R. Wright). That sort of drafting strategy might earn you some critics, but every now and then you'll find a bona fide star when they can stay healthy.

no offense, but no one rated allen as a 6th or 7th round pick. there is no way he would've been drafted past the 2nd round.

To say that Allen got burnt constantly during the preseason is a huge overstatement.

Well, for J Allen, I think he will be a very good player, but the proces is gone a be more slow that we could like, but I think probably later in the seson and next year he will be very good player.
I think that Hagan will be great adition and probaly the starter when Boker finsh his time here.
And Toledo, if he could play (hope the inguries dont stop him) he will be very good.
And Evans, been a 7rd, seams to be a steal.

And yes we have two better QB there than 3 years ago... Dante, ofcoure is better than anybody since Marino left the team. A even if I think Sage , the last year play better, Lemon seems better than Sage and Feely.

Like I say, the only one how fail, realy fail, is Manny,

I was looking for the draft player before Saban:
From 2000 to 2004:
Do you know if any of these ex fins are stil play in the league:
2000 draft: CB, B Kelly, FB D Dyer, DT Erenest Grant, Cb J Harris, (Todd Wade is stil playing, and A Freeman).
2001 draft: Fletcher, T S Drapper, T, B Winey, Qb Heupel, DE: O Leverette, LB Rock, Crowel, (Chambers and Minor are stil Dolphins) ANd Morolon Greenwood is stil playing.
2002 draft: Randy and Seth MaKinney are still fins, Cb, O Lowe, Wr, S Simmons, and Rb Leonard Henry.
2003 draft: S Y Bell and W Simth (probaly just for a littel time) are the only one in the team: E .Moore,G: T Whitley, Te: D Lee, Wr: Tolver, Lb C Jenkins, T: T Provost.Dt: D Williams.
And 2004 draft (Splilman draft): Carey, Hadnot, Pope, are stil in the team.
T Bua, Will Poole (he was good but he has to many in), and T Pape couldn´t make the team this year.

How many of the playeres are still active players in NFL, and how many of that playeres are still playing well for fins....
wow what a disaster was the team with Wanny, :shakeno: :fire: I guese the draft from Spilman was not that bad expect for the trades of Feely and Gordon.

Yeah i say if they don't play well right off the bat in the first preseason game then we should cut them. they must be losers!
