SABAN SAYS HE'S HAPPY IN MIAMI
On Thursday, we heard from a very good source that Michigan State intends to make a run at Miami Dolphins coach Nick Saban, who coached the Spartans before heading to LSU.
On Thursday night, Saban said on his weekly radio show that he won't be leaving: "I want you to be rest assured we're happy here in Miami," Saban told a caller. "We're excited about the future. We're excited

Don't know how the post laws work...too many forums with too many rules....so I didn't post the whole thing.

How do you make a run at an NFL coach who hasn't left his current team yet?

Make him an offer he can't refuse.

Well I hope coach Saban stays. I believe he has a plan and it's going to take a few years for it to cycle thru, dead cap, bum players, losing attitude.

I just hope everyone can see that we have a guy that teams are envious of this is a good thing. Also if you follow miamidolphins.com you would have sen one of Nicks recent press conferences where he talked about the "business decisions" we have made and how the cap will be looking pretty good. For having undiscipline players that can't seem to execute the guy seems pretty upbeat to me.

Saban isn't happy, that's obvious. However, that doesn't mean he's going quit on us. In reality, he can't based on his contract. He's here until 2009 unless he and Wayne have a falling out / mutual agreement to terminate the terms and go their seperate ways....

I don't think Saban is that thin-skinned either. He doesn't come across as a quitter in my opinion. Reading his book, and from everything I've come to know about him as a coach / person, he always finishes what he starts....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

I'm not sure...but didn't Saban still have time on his contract with LSU?

He never struck me as a quitter, but then again he isn't exactly honest & open about ANYTHING either...

I think competitors like a challenge to prove themselves. The problem is that turning this fins team around is a much bigger challenge than anyone thought it would be...

Changing the attitude of a losing mentality isn't easy. What kinda of coach would Saban be if he quit when it gets tough?? Saban needs to go through the tough times too. He is learning what it takes to coach at the highest level. Look at what BB had to do and go through before he started winning in NE. It's a process, we'll be fine.

He may not be happy with how the team is doing right now but I think from what we've seen of him he's not gonna quit because of one bump in the road.
