Saban says O-Line problems can be corrected

Was alot of blitzing for a preseason scrimmage. But its good prep for game situations which is what we were there for. I just can't believe how the faint of heart are ready too abandon ship after the first preseason game loss. Heck, most of the best teams lose preseason checking out the rookies. These guys will need too play a few games before they play as a team. I guess after last year we're just sensitive too losing even though it doesn't mean much.

I agree that was a lot of blitzing - even Al & John were mentioning that there was a lot of blitzing. I'm still excited about this upcoming season - I think we'll be in good shape by the end of preseason, barring any major injuries.

I know its a preseason game but why wouldnt u look at gamefilm and get a feel for what the bears like to do? Not sure its a big deal but it seemed like a really silly thing for a team to not even look at gamefilm of a team they were going to play against, scrimmage, practice whatever.

i was looking more at individual performances rather then the group for the fact that i dont think the starting line last night will the the line to start the year. im waiting to see a line with carey, james, handot, middleton, mcdougle. thats the line i want to see. i really kept an eye on middleton last night and i thought he looked like a bull. aslo cook looked pretty good until the end with a lot of penalties.

I am ok with last nights game. We didn't play real well, but that is expected for the first preseason game. Look at it like this, this game was an extra game, so the real preseason begins next week with Jacksonville. We already have a game under our belts, so we should improve next week and continue to improve over the preseason. Preseason is time to shake off the rust, and it is nice for Saban's rookie season to get an extra one.

OK, I get what you're saying and I tend to agree. No-one would expect them to spend the same amount of time studying film as they would for a regular season game. It would seem reasonable that we should expect them to spend some time looking at film.

Sounds alot like what the last headcoach said....we'll get it fixed....wish they change that broken record already.

No teams really gameplan in the preseason.. I think the only game that some teams do plan for are around the 3rd preseason game.. Maybe the second.. But the first is RARELY gameplanned for.
