DAVIE -- He wouldn't name names.

But while failing to specifically identify exactly whom he was speaking about Thursday, Dolphins coach Nick Saban spelled out how he expects to use some of his personnel during Saturday night's exhibition game at Tampa Bay.

"Starters will play a little longer," Saban said, referring to last Saturday's 31-26 loss to Jacksonville. "If they played 12 to 15 plays last time, maybe they'll play a third more this time. It's not etched in stone, but they'll get a little more work."

Saban then seemingly hinted at the status of quarterback Daunte Culpepper and defensive tackle Dan Wilkinson.

"If a player played six to eight plays last time, maybe he'll play 12 to 14 plays this time, not being specific to any one person," said Saban, who limited Culpepper to six snaps in his first game action since suffering a major knee injury last October.

Very nice...we looked pretty good with our starters in last week and I'd like to see them up against TB. Even though the Jags D is as good or better than the Bucs, we never got to see a long drive and an open offense because of their atrocious punting.

so dauntes gonna play two series this time. not very surprising.

Not at all surprising because it means they are right on track. That's what I want to hear.

Good, this way we can be excited for just a little bit longer. We dominated the first quarter last week and about mid way through, we started seeing a lot of backups. Not to mention the Jags kept their first team out there for basically the whole quarter and lept Garrard in there through like the 3rd quarter. I see Daunte getting 3 series and about 6-9 throws.
