Driving all night last night and I listened to the game on the radio with my wife. When we had 4th down and 2 1/2 feet to go what the hell was Nick thinking? I told my wife that we needed to go for it and if we didn't get it and kicked the field goal we would lose the game. Exactly what happened. I could have lived with the loss had we not gotten the first down and hopefully touchdown there but I have watched enough Dolphins game to predict exactly how it would turn out. Pennington would drive the field and the jets would kick a field goal to win it. What did we have to lose there? Have some balls there and go for it. The jets could not stop Brown all night. We all know it was Nick's decision to forego the first down for the field goal and that is exactly the type of decision making which will have us in the AFC cellar for years. Set a mindset with the players you have handpicked and show some confidence in them. I'll choose wins over draft position any day and I wish Nick would as well. I have been one of Saban's biggest supporters since Day 1 but if this is a sign of things to come he might as well go to Alabama.

Mularkeys playcalling doomed us as well. If the Dolphins need help showing him the door I'll happily volunteer.

Saban's achilles heel is offense. He desperately needs a quality offensive coordinator that he can dump the playcalling duties on. Mularkey is a bonafide idiot who needs to be let go. The only problem is I'm not sure if Saban will do that due to the continuity argument and two I'm not sure he knows what to look for in a offensive coordiantor. He probably sticks with him one more year and tries to bring him an upgrade in talent. I can only hope we get lucky in free agency and the draft and have a killer offseason. We need it

I cant blame him, we needed the points to have a shot at OT. And the way the defense had been playing to that point it wasnt a bad move.

it was bad becuse first you have to hope that your defence cans top them then you have to hope you can win the toss in ot then hope our terrible offence can put togther another drive.... coachs need to coach to what they have not think they think the players should do like make a smart descion on a 3rd and 1 and not get an IG

To me that is playing not to lose. When you've got your pride your playing for, you throw the playbook out the window and be creative and aggressive. Challenge the spot and get the 9 inches or less we need for a first down. A naked bootleg at that point would have probably gotten Cleo his first NFL TD.

If Mularkey returns I swear it would be the biggest disappointment since Saban has been here. More disappointing than Culpepper's injury-riddled year, more disappointing than Chambers down year (which I believe has a lot to do with Mularkey and his play-calling), to hell with continuity, we need a bright young offensive mind and I'm sure there are many worthy coaches out there.

Wouldn't it just be icing on the cake if Saban leaves and Mularkey resumes as HC. OMG I just threw up in my mouth!:(

If Saban stays and keeps Mularkey, season ticket sales will plummet, most of the home games will be blacked out, and the Dolphin faithful will be reduced to a bunch of losers following a a bunch of losers. Huizenga, do the right thing and make changes! Give us some hope! :tantrum:

Maybe.. Just MAYBE. Because we have one of the top defenses in the NFL, we decided to kick a FG. Face it, our offense isn't something to brag about... and if we did go for it.. how would you all react? You'd be saying we should've kicked the FG. Because if we went for it on forth and one... And Brown would've got smoked in the backfield. The Jets would've just ran out the clock, end of the game. It's impossible to please you guys. I'm just as disapointed as you all, I really wish Cleo would've started instead of Harrington. He looked pretty good out there from the limited time he had. I just hope that Cleo is given a shot next weekend...

Please take some grammer classes before you post here again. I'm hung over and if I read your post again I'll puke.
