I dont see him doing that.He is going to go Defence.Qb,s are the worst pick in the 1st round.They dont get good until 3 Years.Saban got the skills to draft a QB in the 4th round and groom him for 3 years.I think Sage should get a shot.
 
I am leaning towards this direction as well. I hate the idea of drafting a QB 1st in our current situation. We need some serious help on defense at LB/CB/Safties.
 
If a QB is there he wants, he will pick him. If not he will pick someone else.

Dolfans need to chill on this QB thing.Its a bad pick in the 1st round.
 
What is a bad idea is taking a quarterback in any round and casting him to the wolves. Alex Smith and Aaron Rodgers have next to no talent around them, and they don't have very much protection. That is a bad idea, because you're going to destroy their confidence. (Brett Favre can't even do anything with the Packers.)

What is a good idea is putting a quarterback into a system with talent in place - look at Eli Manning, Byron Leftwich, Ben Roethlisberger, and Charlie Frye for examples of quarterbacks with various talent levels inserted into teams with some level of talent.
 
I actually don't think there will be a QB there when we pick. I think Cutler is going to make a strong push up the board and be gone before we pick. leinart will be gone and if Young comes out he will be picked as well. I actually don't mind this because then we don't reach for a QB. I'd rather bpick the best player that's there when we pick. We have lots of holes to fill not just Qb. I know we need a QB but I prefer to have a player chosen in the first round who is going to immediately effect this team unless its a very talented Qb who is felt to be a star in the making. I just want us to upgrade the talent on this team.

:shakeno: WTF are you talking about? Way to stereotype. You haven't heard of Big Ben or Eli? You wouldn't take them over our current situation? We need to stop settling for average QBs, we haven't seriously gone after a top notch QB since Marino.

Marino, Elway, Manning, Manning, Ben, shall I go on? All did very well in less than 3 years, bro.

Crappy QB's don't do well for like 3 years but that is not the case with all QBs

Eli was taking 1st and bigben was taking at #11.Eli is a bust.Bigben is ok.I live in NY and even giant fans will tell you.Eli sucks
