Saban Upset with Linehan?

Take a look at Saban's post-game PC on the team's website. Within the first couple minutes he almost says, "1st and 6 on the six...we didn't give ourselves the chances that I would hope we would give our...[best players]," but then he simply says, "...the chances that we would give ourselves," and by the look on his face he seems to be trying his best not to cast blame on someone.

He pretty much says the letter "b" to start the phrase "best players" but then stops himself. Could've been a "b" for something else obviously, but I don't know what else would've fit in the context.

Of course it's speculation, but it makes me wonder whether Saban may be thinking a lot like we are about Linehan.

It just seems to me that we were in the lead a good portion of the game, but continued the throw the ball. I'm ok with that if I trust the QB, but I really don't trust any QB on this roster. Wear the D out, run at 'em...mix in some mid-range play action, but don't abandon the running game all together...arg..

I get that, but then what doesn't make sense then was why take RB in the 1st round ? Did Saban consult with Linehan at all before makeing the pick ? You would have thought that Nick would make sure to take a player that would fit Linehan's system right ? :confused:

No, be realistic....it was because we were trailing that we threw more than we would have run in the 2nd half if we had the lead. We trailed just about the entire second half.

I thought we should have mixed in some runs as well, but to simply post that a friendship dictates professional football play calling is :confused: :confused: :confused: .
