i think this yr we will notice the diff in denfence due to sabans departure. he will be missed i think on D b/c he did run the D although Capers was there 2. It was mainly Sabans knowledge I believe.

I think its predicated on or is the same system.
 
Saban is a piece of trash and I hope Alabama is the worst team in college football next year. Our defense will be fine under Capers. Don't fool yourself that is Capers system...
 
I think you underestimate Capers. He's one of the best defensive minds in the league. We will be fine in that department.
 
I was thinking just the opposite, now capers can play the players he wants not who Saban told him to play.

Dick Satan was the DB coach and they sucked like him. Capers didn't have Dick Satan in Pitt nor up here in Carolina. Bad post.

SR, that's not entirely correct. While he is known as a defensive coach, particularly the secondary, he and Capers run the same D schemes. Capers is a very well respected DC. Don't sell him short...
 
I would imagine the defense will actually be improved, with the exception of the 21-0 victory vs. NE last year it appeared that Saban was not a good game planner and that the defense actually underachieved. Capers is actually a proven commodity at DC and I look for better game plans and better utilization and play from the DB's.

I think other teams, especially QB's, will fear the Phin's defense this year.
Capers won't be micro-managed and will be able to unleash what was held back last year. If our secondary improves, which I think it will, the defense be a terror to all who come their way! :evil:

Our secondary sucked for the most part and that was the specialty of our departed not to be named coach. Here's to the new and improved Miami Dolphins!
