Says some guys got sick today, stomach stuff from the heat. More clear disdain for the media's interest in injuries.
There are three types of guys: guys that make it happen, guys that watch it happen, and guys that don't know what the hell is happening. Same old, same old...alluding to all that eye of the tiger jazz getting everyone to be wolves not sheep.
Says everything injury-wise is day to day stuff, nothing major, including Will Poole. He mentioned Will, said they really haven't gotten to it yet (figuring out what's wrong). Haven't come to any conclusions yet.
Tony Pape got snaps at 1st team RG...but that's because Seth's already out, Bennie Anderson is not in shape yet, and now Joe Toledo got sick today (stomach).
Really pleased with Andre Goodman. Plays with good toughness, has good ball skills, etc.
They want to get better in PRs...goal is a 10 yard average. Says Wes did fine, but he wants better blocking basically. Also wants improved kick coverage.
Good segment about how he learned the hard way that kickers and punters have different jobs from the rest of the team and therefore shouldn't be doing normal drills, etc. He said their mindset has to be different, like an assassin you get one shot one kill...so he tries to isolate them to keep them in that mindset. In the past he tried keeping them with the team and all he got was missed kicks and missed punts, etc and he felt like the mindset of other players was bleeding over where they get 70 plays to do what they do...so he keeps kickers/punters on a completely different programme.
