This is Saban's mantra for those of you who think the "smack" talkers are getting carried away...

Every week Saban comes up with inspirational themes, many of which include his pet sayings.

Champions take an attitude of dominance anywhere they go.

Accept that you make mistakes and don't dwell on them.

There is no I in team, but there is an I in win.

If you think you're dominant, you will be.

The Dolphins have seemingly bought into Saban's mantra.

In about 10 weeks we'll know if they brought into it or not.

Hey guys, give me a line here...

Let us aspire to that "Mental Toughness" that Saban inspires!

I don't get it...
me neither but i luved reading this....

Kiick compares the regime change from Wannstedt to Saban to what he went through when original Dolphins coach George Wilson was replaced by Don Shula in 1970.

"I enjoyed playing for George Wilson, but he wasn't going to take us over the top," Kiick said. "Players were relaxed, but once Shula came in we saw it was a different era. There was going to be discipline; it was going to be his way, and that's exactly what's going on here."

THe only reason they get paid MILLIONS is because SO MANY PEOPLE support the teams/league and pay the prices they ask for the product/goods they provide. If you have a problem with that start a boycott, I'm sure many will follow you.

Yeah, you're right. A team that looked completely like a fish out of water (so to speak) the last year and a half is all of a sudden playing with a championship swagger.

Seems to me they have pretty much bought into it. They rebounded after a loss, the blew out a good team when the beat up Denver, and they outplayed and won a close game against Carolina even with a lot of mistakes.

No team is perfect, it's the teams that can overcome their inperfections to get victories that are successful in the NFL and guess what, so far this year we are doing it and playing like champions.

Yeah, the "Swagger" is what the dominating attitude is all about... It is SO nice to see how physical our team has been this year!

I agree with ya man.
I've been longing for this team to get an attitude for a loooong time.

I've always respected the hell out of the late 70's and early Raider teams because they were well known for playing hard nosed, intimidating football. No one WANTED to play them because win or lose you left hurting a little.
That's the type of football Saban has seemingly brought here and I love it.

Nick Saban is a really, really shrewd motivator and leader. After listening to him speak front & center at the Kickoff banquet I concluded this guy could lead any Fortune 500 company of his choice. He has such a confident aura about him. He looks friendly and approachable yet at the same time looks serious & knowledgeable. He had me wanting to run through a brick wall for him and his team, and I'm just an accountant.

It really is impressive just to be around the guy. Now, I actually liked Wanny (as a person), but you can tell instantly what seperates a top-tier coach from the rest. I'd wager that MOST coaches at every level are more like Wanny than Saban.

Wayne & Eddie Jones really went all out to bring us this guy. It is easy to see why. It is easy to see why he is worth $5 mil/year. Shoot, if he keeps this up he's worth $10 mil/year. I just hope he stays around for 10+ years. Guys like him are so few & far between. Nice to see we finheaveners are ALL lapping it up. :D

This is basic "winning philosophy" and in NO WAY is connected to cheap trash talking. Huge difference. I don't know what you are trying to say...but if it is "it is fine to smack talk"...that depends on how you do it. If it is classy great if it is just cheap talk...that is not what he is saying. Further, just because you think you are dominant does not me you tell everyone.
