Did anyone else see this. He was asked about starting Sage and he didn't seem to happy. His anwser was that he didn't know yet, but it didn't sound like Sage has a chance. I would be really surprized if Sage started. I think Sage needs to start, you can't get worse than the way Gus played. I hope I'm wrong about Sage's chances.
 
Gus sucked something awful tonight, and I wouldn't be opposed to Sage starting- but keep in mind Sage threw one pass that hit in garbage time. He hit a big play to Chambers on the first play of that Baltimore game at the end of last season too, and he sucked the rest of the game.
 
we can lose by 20 with sage also, but we will see if this guy can play, i hate to lose him and he is the real deal
 
I wonder how Scott feels about Gus at this point? I also wonder to what extent Saban lets Scott run the offense as far as determining starters is concerned?

EXACTLY! what exactly could it hurt if they did start him? hell at this point I would not be opposed to seeing if gary hogaboom is tired of survivor yet and wants to play!:goof:
 
Sage has been in the NFL for something like 4-5 years now with atleast two teams that didnt have "Franchise" quarterbacks dont you think but now if this guy had starters talent someone would have given him that chance.

In football practice means something and he couldnt beat out Patrick Ramsey....Jay Feidler...AJ Feeley...Gus Frerotte come on guys smarten up Sage is what he is... a backup at best.
 
what could possibly going on in saban's mind if he doesnt want to start sage. This making haste slowly crap has to stop. Its time to make haste hastily! What is he sleeping with Gus's wife or something? Do they have some kind of arrangement?

Sage sucks too, but he CANT be any worse than Frerotte. Just give the receivers a CHANCE to catch the damn football.

Tonight was one of the worst QB performances I've ever seen... and yes I watched every Feeley game last year.

Skipping passes on the ground, overthrows, throwing behind receivers, throwing where there isn't a Dolphin with 10 yards of the pass, etc etc etc

I don't care if he's not throwing INTs for TDs... his missing wide open players is killing us.
 
Watching Saban PC's is infinitely better than watching Wanny who always seemed befuddled by everything. Standpoint
 
as the thread that was floating around said: start sage, run the ball

if linehan isnt confident to throw the ball deep as much with sage, good!!!
