Despite the injuries and the fact that 31 of the Dolphins' 44 points in the past two games have come off turnovers, Saban said he's not going to rely solely on his defense.

"We're not playing conservative on offense to protect our defense," Saban said. "That's not how we're going to play."

I believe that quote was in regards to a question about the fumble on the trick play when up 13 points.

I think the translaton is more "We're going to keep running trick plays - lead or no lead."

We complete a few more passes... and some of those bombs.. we have a whole new conversation. we're throwing downfield... just not connecting. People may whine about the dump passes, but they get us usually about 5-7 yrds..At least if anyones noticed we're facing alot more 3 and shorts that what I could remember last year.

Our offense is evolving. A combination of Linehan and Mularky. When it matures all facets of the game (run, trick, short passes, mid range passes, and long passes) will work. In the mean time the short stuff moves the chains and gives the offense a chance to score. If we attempt to bombs away too much we give the game to the other teams offense.
