The NFL really is a cutthroat business.

Im just talking about the local radio shows really.. You can already hear the catcalls.

he should be on the hot seat.

the mess he has trotted out this year is
unacceptable!!

he failed in every category. he didnt build
on the team that from last year. he dismantled
it and brought in scrubs as replacements.

he blew the draft.

i hope that seat is hot as hell!!!!!!

Uh, yes, it belongs in spam. It's one line, with hardly any discussion or relevant information.

Ok, what is not relevant about that? Cmon Thor, Please let me know.

I tune into local sports radio, and Im already hearing stuff about Saban being a college coach who is in over his head. When he was hired, I dont think there was one fan who didnt think he would be a complete success here in Miami. And now, only a season later, there are already calls for his head. I am just stating that this is a brutal business.. The WIN NOW attitude probably plays into coaching decisions more than it should..

Case in point: The trade for Culpepper.. If Saban felt he had more time to actually BUILD, a trade for a young draft prospect, or even a deal for Brees (with the shoulder injury) probably would have been the route he went..

he is the best coach since shula,, what do people want wanny back, come on, this guy is rated as a top five coach in the country,

True.

I think the plan kind of changed when they had that 6 game winning streak at the end of last season.

The team way overacheived in those 6 games. But the fact of the matter is, this team needed to be rebuilt from the ground up.

It's not relevant because it is only something extremely silly people would discuss at this point. People who call in talk radio and post on the internet about things like that are not to be taken seriously.

Nonsense. Culpepper is quite possibly as much of an long-term investment as a rookie, and that was known from the beginning when it was a possibility he wouldnt even play this year.

Culpepper was the right choice over a rookie because he's got higher upside then anything we could have found in that draft, with lesser risk.

Culpepper over Brees is hardly demonstrative of a win-now choice either. Culpepper has had in his career much higher upside than Brees, not to mention he fits what Saban wants better.

Yeah, put his feet to the fire! Picked #8 over #9...BIG MISS! Unraveled an OL that was beginning to get it right late last year (26-sacks OK?!!)...and frankly has acted 'scared' to rebuild the D the way it needs to be...giving the younger bulls more time; get bigger/taller ILBs...and trimming the fat (2 guys on D are making above $10m each)...change hurts, BUT, change is good...(How good do we want them to be?)

[mod] Inappropriate post! [/mod]

i cant take it whenever someon brings up anything negative about coaching people like u automaticaally say would u like wanny back? no he just is commenting on saban he didnt say anything about wanny. and by the way comparing anything to wany is not a good thing its like comparing someone to the guy who finished last in the special olympics.
