The reason we as Dolphans are looking good and sharing the sympathy of the entire country is becuase Nick commited the most unpardonable sin....."He pissed off the national media." When he treated them (peter king included) like children much like Bill Clinton's "I did not have sex with that woman" Denial he made it personal and the press especially ESPN made it their mission to come after him.

No it's because he's a weak douche.

When Spurrier came from college to the NFL he said, up front, "i'm going to do it my way. I'm not going to be one of these 20 hour a day coaches. I'm going to use my system, coach with my style, and see if it works"

2 years later Spurrier, up front, admitted the NFL wasn't for him. He wasn't willing to put in the hours, the work. Then Spurrier bought out his own contract and THEN interviewed for other jobs.

Saban came in full of bluster about how hard he was going to work, how great it was going to be. Then he failed. He just failed. He couldn't cut it with the big boys. He looked around, saw the other AFC East teams with growing leads or passing the Dolphins by, was flat out-coached by fellow AFC East coaches, wasn't being treated like the deity he felt he deserved to be treated as, and bailed. Like a wuss. And when he bailed he lied about his reason. He didn't man up like Spurrier and just admit the obvious truth, that he couldn't cut it in the NFL (and no shame there, most people can't). He lied, actively shopped for an escape route, and weaseled his way out.

He's a coward. That's why everyone dislikes him.

Well put. I was pissed when JJ left too because he talked so much about bringing a championship to Miami and didn't do it. However, JJ never returned to coaching and genuinely quit to spend more time with his family. Can't hate him for that. Saban couldn't cut it and is too arrogant to admit it, like you said.

They say there is some truth to every rumor. when this one wouldn't die we all should have known better. I've witnessed some of finheavens most respected members making a mockery of all of the, "Saban to Alabama threads". Now it's true.

Saben is dead to me and that's all I ever have to say about this.

i keep having this reoccurring vison of saban saying im not intereted in the alabama job and how many times do i have to say with that fleetwood mac song playing in the back ground you know tell me lies tell me sweet little lies tell me lies tell me tell me lies its horrible i honestly thought their could never be anyone or anything i hate more than the new york jets

The funny thing he uses the same speech at every news conference. he needs to come up with something new.

I was away on business and didn't even know, imagine my shock or dismay when I turned on ESPN tonight and almost fell out of my chair. All I got to say is shame on you Saban, you really let us the fans down in a big way. I have lost all respect for Saban now.
