Hi. I go to Oregon State. I had lunch with a friend, and Sabby piscitelli was there with my friend. We all talked for about two hours. I asked him who was most interested, and he said the Dolphins and Chargers. He said he hopes to go in round 2 or 3. Take it for what it is worth. I would like us to draft him.

Dolfan, how did you know? Funny you mention that. He did eat alot and said he is bored and nervous. He is still ripped and big, but he also mentioned he has been eating alot since all the precombine hard work.

Well, I'd be nervous too. In a good way though. Just could picture a guy like him at the Chinese Buffet lol.

He is a safety for Oregon State. Check him out on the web if you can. He was all conference in the Pac-10. He is 6/3", 224lbs. He is fast and knows how to play the deep half of the field well, as evidenced by his high number of interceptions. Hope that helps.

He is a beast man. I really dig him. Mueller has roots deep in the PNW where I live. Expect him to look for finds in the NW, an area that is poorly scouted by most teams.

Strengths: Possesses excellent size and adequate upper body strength. Has good straight-line speed for his size. Reads keys quickly, is aggressive and flashes the ability to make plays in the backfield. Possesses good athletic ability for his size and flashes the ability to stay with tight ends in man coverage. Is tall, has good leaping ability and can compete for jump balls. Has great ball skills and consistently makes big plays in coverage. He's smart and does a good job of getting teammates lined up correctly.

Weaknesses: Fills quickly versus the run be he's not as physical or explosive as his great sized would indicate. Doesn't always use hands well and at times takes too long to shed blocks. Needs to improve his open-field tackling skills. Can be overaggressive, is vulnerable to play action and doesn't have the second gear to recover once caught out of position. Though he saw some time at corner at the collegiate level, his ability to change directions isn't elite and he will struggle to match up with slot receivers in the NFL.

Overall: Piscitelli appeared in all 13 games, mostly on special teams, in 2003 as a true freshman and made six total tackles, one interception, and one pass breakup. He started all 12 games at strong safety in 2004 and recorded 54 total tackles, three tackles for loss, five interceptions, eight pass breakups, one fumble recovery, and one forced fumble. In 2005, Piscitelli started all 11 games finishing the year with 53 total tackles, three tackles for loss, four interceptions (one returned for a 23-yard touchdown), eight pass breakups, and two fumble recoveries. He started all 14 games in 2006, earning first team All-Pac 10 honors after registering 75 total tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, 11 pass breakups, and five interceptions. Piscitelli displays impressive speed for such a big defensive back. He also is an instinctive and intelligent player. However, while he shows good athletic ability for his size, he's not fluid enough to cover the deep-middle of the field as a safety. Also, while some project him as an outside linebacker, he does not display the explosive power or toughness to make the transition in the NFL. In our opinion, Piscitelli has enough upside to warrant early second-day consideration but he's not worth drafting any earlier.

I don't like him .. He will bust in the NFL IMO ..

Look at this -- NOT GOOD FOR A SAFETY TO HAVE PROBLEMS IN BOTH AREAS !!

Sweet; I'd love to see Sabby or Eric Weddle (I'm being rational & a homer here) in A & O next year.

What the status of the QB (I believe his name is Moore?) there in Corvallis?

Mastr Eval:

Fair enough. I have watched him play in person several times over the past two seasons. Are his hips as fluid as some, no. However, the report isn't that accurate. He has great anticipation, which makes up for his lack of fluidity. That is how he gets so many picks. This guy is an interception machine. He made huge plays against USC and in the bowl game this year. I would take him in the third without question and would consider him strongly in the second. I htink he is like a young Sammy Knight, a play maker.

UTah,

I like Weddle too. Matt Moore graduated this year. He played really well in the second half of the season, he struggled in a few early games. I thought he might get a little more recognition coming out of school, but that is probably due to my homerism. I don't know if he is consistently accurate enough to play in the NFL. I could see him as a backup potentially.

Eric Weddle intrigues me. But from what I've heard, some guys like Mike Mayock think Piscitelli is overrated because his combine was better than his performance on the field.

thats where I like to seperate people. Combines are to verify speed, stength, and athleticism if needed.

I could go for a 6'3 Sabby. Didnt we also have a looksie at Syracuse' Tanard Jackson?
