Sack points

Hey Mods,

I've been on a few forums and they have a thing called "Rep" points. And how you achieve them is by another member of the board reping a person for helpful info, making a good point, or even making them laugh.

The more respected members of the board obviously have the most rep points and usually have a higher lever of respect.

There are also negative rep points. which work the same way, if you give falsi info, bad info, or are just beeing a jerk for no reason.

the rep points (or SACK points in this matter) usually appear below the avatar and your personal info.

I always liked them.

seems like something cool this site could implament as well.

if you want an example I can post a link to a forum that has them. and go into a more indepth explination on how the system works.

Yeah that was a minor problem with the other forums.

But it's always cool to see when people give you props.

did you guys work it to where the higher your rep points the higher your value for giving rep points would be...

for example.

InFINSible has a rep score of 1,000
Spray Mucus has a rep score of 1

your rep score + or - would be worth 1,000 points, while my rep is only worth 1 point.

I find that usually won't hurt somebodies score if a "dishonest" person is rep or neg reping you, because they usually have a low score as is.

Also you can't rep somebody more than once in a full month span. That also prevents people from padding there rep points.

either way, it's just a thought, and always thought the concept was very cool!
