I know we probably draft a corner but what about safety?

I think we band aid with what we got this year but if Jamie Silva is still there in 6-7 we should take him. Guy is a fricken Pat Tillman clone and we can dump Camoron Worrell.

A Pat Tillman clone? From the five games I saw of BC last year, Silva is anything but a Pat Tillman clone. Silva has great ball skills but is not much of a hitter.

Worrell was brought in to play special teams not to start at safety. With the emphasis Parcells is putting on special teams right now, Worrell would have to have a set back in his recovery to get dumped.

Despite what happened last year, I actually think safety is one part of the defense we don't need to address in this draft.

If there's great value in the pick then by all means, pull the trigger, but Jason Allen seems to be playing well, and Ranaldo Hill and Yeremiah Bell are both solid players (if they can come back from injury).

I think we should draft the Kid from ASU Josh Barrett he looks really good or the guy from ND

I hope we draft one ... cause i'm not impressed with any safety on our current roster. For a 1st round draft pick, Jason Allen has been a total dissappointment!

This draft is sickly deep at CB, but paper thin at S, so despite our obvious need (Brittle Bell isn't going to last the season), I'm hoping we don't take a safety in the first 4 rounds; and even then there's more good CB prospects there than safeties.

I like Zbikowski, but he's probably going to go earlier as will the top few safeties because they'll be overdrafted since there simply aren't many who can play in the NFL. I have heard that the Dolphins are giving a fair amount of attention to Caleb Campbell of Army, but I doubt they'll burn a 4th rounder on him so he may have to slide to round 6 for us to do it. In the 6th and 7th round, go for it ... but I realize that's not high praise.

Realistically, you can't draft a position, you need to draft a player, and at the position of CB your choices are phenomenal, so much so that many many talented CB's will fall deep into the draft and every team knows that, so they're less likely to pay a premium for a CB. To me, that means it's a great time to double-up on CB's. Get 2 CB's one in the 2nd round and another somewhere in the later rounds. We've got plenty of room for both of them on our roster and at worst we'll be moving Travis Daniels to safety, and he can't be any worse than Cameron "SpecialTeams" Worrel was.

We may have to wait for next year's draft to find a safety, but that's OK, because we have so many needs at the moment we cannot possibly fill them all this draft anyway. Let's just hope there's a better crop of safeties next draft.

this year's safety class does not have a Shawn Taylor or Ed Reed, but it does have a lot of guys who could become very good players in the NFL.

Kenny Phillips
DaJuan Morgan
Reggie Smith
Jamar Adams
Tyrell Johnson
Caleb Campbell
Tom Zbikowski
Josh Barrett
Quinton Demps
Thomas DeCoud

are all very good prospects

Jamar Adams could be the big hitter you need at SS plus he led Michigan in PBU's, I'd take him in the 4th

Caleb Campbell is a projected 4th rounder.

Caleb Campbell, SS, Army
Height: 6-1. Weight: 229.
Projected 40 Time: 4.47.
Combine 40 Time: 4.60.
Benchx225: 24. Vertical: .
Projected Round: 4.

You have to love the 40 that comes with Caleb Campbell's size. Given his background, I think we can assume that he has a great work ethic.
