Safety Bell looks at trying the open market

"The Dolphins would like to have him back," Rosenhaus said. "I anticipate him making it to free agency in all likelihood.
"He would be interested in playing in Miami, but we're going to keep all of our options open."

i hope he does leave. He is 30 years old,and we need to get younger.Of course he was...."so,so",but I think Miami will live. Its not like he was going to be something special, his days for excelling are gone, and can't be anything more than an average starter,or backup, which he is.I hope for the best for him, even though he shouldn't expect much more than the Dolphins are giving him,or at all.....

Good luck to him if he finds another team willing to pay him what hethinks he deserves. On t other hand, I would take him back if the price is right...say 1 million a year plus incentives.

I love Bell, I'm one of his biggest supports. With that said, I'm not surprised that he will test the market and that we haven't been more aggressive to resign him. I actually do think he will be back but with his injury history it's just not smart to rely on him for a starting role. Would love to resign him though cheap, if he is healthy he IS starting material and a very good safety IMO.

Yeremiah has monster talent but can't seem to stay healthy...

no.....no he doesn't,he played well...monster talent....as if,he was a player benefiting from the pass rush of Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas's present in the middle occupying the QB's decisions.Yeremiah is overrated, and I would like him back, but he isn't the player of the future, and never played like it,if he had monster talent,we would have expected him not coming back to the Dolphins, and going to a place where he can win now, because of his age.He said,"I'm keeping my options open"...translation:"I want to see how much money I'm worth, and if can't get what I'm looking for,I'll settle for the the Dolphins...."

That's what I like about these sites... someone can't post their opinion without someone else shooting their post down.... I stand by my opinion. He has "monster" talent in as he always found ways to make plays. I'm not gonna waste my time arguing a point that is purely an opinion (mine)

I'm honestly tired of the false hope which only leads to season ending injuries.

Bye.

Mediocre? Wait, what happened in 2006 when we entered Bell in as a starter in a mediocre defense, thats right we absolutely stomped the bears and our defense was sound for the rest of the season.
Remember when the colts D was so bad and they finally got Sanders back?
Same situation. The guy was a beast and full of heart. Personally i wish we did keep him because i guarantee you we will miss his presence in the secondary, as well as his attitude and willingness to try 100% no matter the circumstances.

it is a shame this guy got hurt, he had a chance at being one of the best safeties in the NFL, his best chance is to sign at the vet minimum and play for the phins, you can see the pats taking a shot at him

I love Bells play i hope he doesnt go anywhere when healthy he is a very good SS

Good riddance won't miss ya.

If you don't feel that our decline was very much related to his injury, you were not watching Dolphins football. That being said, how much could he actually be expecting coming back from the injury. Agents $s are based on the signing and I believe for once in some time that we have a front office that won't be bent over. With that said, I hope we find some middle ground because I don't believe there is a better FA alternative if he is healthy. We need to watch our $s.

yeah I guess Cameron Worrell will suffice, huh?

oh dolphins, you never cease to amaze me. Get a solid player and you want to run him out of town.

Bell had a serious injury following a series of minor injuries. Not a characteristic Parcells favors. He'll be replaced, or re-signed for the vet minimum and given a chance to compete.
