Safety concerns
While the Dolphins have the NFL's seventh-ranked defense, there is lingering concern throughout the team about the play of safeties Renaldo Hill and Travares Tillman. Both have struggled to recognize plays and, as a result, have been slow to get in position. Patriots QB Tom Brady is among the league's best at exploiting weaknesses in the opponent's secondary.

time for JA or Daniels to replace Tillman

Why not let Yeremiah Bell get the start over Tillman?? Bell makes plays when he is in there.

I say might as well give Jason Allen a shot. As a collective unit the secondary is not doing well but, that has more to do with the fact that our safetys are doing an awful job in coverage.

For example, this past game folks were getting on Will Allen's case a lot. Yeah he got burned by Johnson and the fake out by Carr didn't make him look good but where was the safety help on those long completions? The safety's liability is actually making our corners look worse than they are and leaving them on the island out to dry.

Tillman is really looking lost out there. I mean consistently bad. No offense to the player but if there is to be a sore thumb sticking out example he would be it.

i agree jason allen is going to be a very good player for us, bank on it, their is no way he can be worse than tillman, tillman is lost every play it seems

bell is a good player also, the guy gives his all and seems to know the defense more than tillman does

Bell and Allen need to be the starting safeties. Now that the season is in the tank, Saban needs to let Allen play and get experience so he can be better in 2007.

I think Andre Goodman was playing pretty good at corner before Daniels got back. I think we should start J. Allen and what about Daniels at the other Safety spot? I don't think any one knows Sabans D better than him considering he has played in it for 4 yrs. I think it would be worth a look.

Hadn't thoought of that. I like it.

How's Daniels in run support?

I am ready to see what Jason Allen can bring to the table as well. Tillman is just bad always out of position he sucks!

I wonder exactly when Saban will decide Jason Allen has learned enough to get some more playing time?

Jeez, man. It's week five. How do you give up so early on in the season? Not to mention we've been in position to win some games, not like we're getting blown out like the Raiders.

i got a question...doesnt Bell lineup as a linebacker sometimes...?

He blitzs when his No. is called. I dont think he plays LB, just lines up nearer the line when he blitzes.

The longer it takes for Allen to get some playing time the less i like taking him, Im not saying at all that hes a bust but i was expecting better things from him this early in the season, apart from Special Teams he hasnt shown up.

I am giving up because the Dolphins are losing to bad teams. I don't care how close the score is, they should be able to beat the Bills at home and at Houston. They struggled to beat the Titans at home as well. What is there to look forward to for the rest of the season?
