Since Bell has not been playing that well, espescially on saturday, whose going to be the FS? I hope that Saban realizes to put Schulters back at the FS and have him play with Jones. It would be better and make the D feel more relaxed when they know that they have two good vets back there watching the field.

bell has been playing very well, but he had a shocking game on saturday and might've played his way out of the starting lineup.. in which case, it should go back to the expected pairing of Lance and Tebucky.

Bell had one poor game which does not drop him to the cut list. Saban knows how green he is and will work with him. Our safety situation is filled with guys who have teased coaches for years with their talent but have not consistently backed it up with comparable play. It will be a tough year at that position I'm afraid!

Junior Rosegreen got cut..........oh well, i tried. This is the guy I noticed everyone was talking about in the 7th round. Auburn guy isnt he? Just curious.

he's a SS with a FS body... hits hard but is frail - as per the scouting report.

he can really hit, i'll never forget the hit against UGA last year.. he almost killed the WR, think it was Reggie Brown.

I agree, Kind of hard to base such a decision on one game. Not that THAT won't happen just seems a bit harsh. Does that mean Ronnie Brown won't play this year because he fumbled?. or Sam madison will give up a big play and he goes to the bench?. I don't know if Bell will start/play but to this point, he has impressed someone to start so far.

hell, id bring in whatever rookies i can. Rosegreen, Shazor, any of them id bring in and sign to a one year minimum and see how they can progress. Right now, we could use anybody back there. Shazor and Rosegreen are so thin and fast that they could be used as a CB

Jamall Brimmer was also released...wasnt he supposed to be pretty good
he was touted as a first rounder if he came out after his junior year. he went back to school, had a tough year and then ran a 4.77 second 40, which is sssslllllooooooooooowww. You cant put too much stock in the 40, but tht is very slow for a safety.

Obviously, judging by his release, he isnt as good as first anticipated.

i think shulters just has come around slow, he'll be in there starting soon enough... but bells been playing well, a couple misplays but that happens to everyone... i think jones and shulters, with tillman and bell as backups is pretty decent, then bua as the 5th S and a special teamer...
