The challenge the Dolphins figure to face against San Diego’s high-powered offense this Sunday could be a bit tougher after strong safety Yeremiah Bell was a no-show at the portion of Wednesday’s practice that was open to the media. In related news, Jason Taylor did not participate and, while both Vontae Davis and Chris Clemons participated, neither worked with the starters, meaning Nolan Carroll and Reshad Jones could once again be in the starting lineup against a Chargers team that ranks fourth in total offense and sixth in passing.Bell was on the field on the Dolphins’ last defensive play in Sunday’s 17-16 loss to Cleveland, coming over too late to help rookie Jimmy Wilson prevent a 14-yard touchdown pass from Colt McCoy to Mohamed Massaquoi.Bell, 33, has played in every game and started all but one over the past four seasons since returning from a torn Achilles tendon suffered in the 2007 opener. If Bell is out for any reason, the logical replacement would be veteran Tyrone Culver, who has made only two starts in his six-year career.http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thed...re-to-be-seen-as-dolphins-return-to-practice/

Bell has made some plays for us this year. If he's out, Tyrone Culver is in, and lord help us...

we could have every man on this 53 available and its still lord help us this week...

what can it really get worse than 0-3 we've already "achieved"? clearly the crowd that wants us to lose out hasn't started any posts in this thread rejoicing our soon to be 0-4 start and likely ouster of sparano.

Maybe Bell won't be around to spike the ball up and behind him into the receiver's hands, like he did in the Texan's game.

Overrrated..He hasn't been THAT guy for at least 3 seasons

How about Clemons at FS and Jones at SS..

No kidding. It's what the fans have been clamoring about. Let them try it out and see what happens! And hopefully Vontae is good by game day. Smith will have his hands full with Floyd. And Gates? Omg... but I don't even want to think about Carroll trying to man up with Vincent Jackson... God no!

He's over rated?

How the **** do you figgure THAT?!

Despite all the plays he's made he's still some sort of a source of bitching
in a secondary that the vaunted Vonte Davis patrols.

Let see for every spectacular play you think he's made i'll give you two where i think he's overrated i'll start

1) Giving up that touchdown to J.Keller (He really can't cover anyone 1 on 1)
2) Allowing B.smith to run threw his Tackle on a critical 3rd down play

Now you go..

When was the last time he had an interception? Jarring Hit? Force Fumble? Int for TD? Strip? Deflection?

I'll wait...
