he may have played against mostly reserves vs. the Falcons... but he seems to have a better feel for the recievers then feeley and frerotte! he has always been overlooked and i think its time he gets a chance to show that hes better then a 3rd string! i want sage throwing the ball for the fins! :D

I agree ...
I mean who really cares were going to be runnin the ball like a mofo anyways
we have seen what Feeley can do.
Gus i think can still proform i would have him and Sage battle it out

So he proved he is better then labeled a 3rd string QB how? Against a 3rd string defense....hmmm

hey we already have two not-so-good QBs battling for the starting job so we really have nothing to lose by testing Rosenfels

its a tough call, but he plays better than your typical 3rd srtinger

Your missing the point, how can you say he is playing better then your typical 3rd stringer when he is playing against 3rd string players that are mixed up with Rookies and 2years pro players? There was some spark to Sage when he started against the Ravens, but he is obiviously not what Scott L. is looking for.

i think saben will chose too start gus, if he struggles the feely will go in. if he struggles, the following game they will start sage.

We lose a lot of things

I just watched the 2nd half of the game and Sage doesn't make my toes tingle. There were 2 passes that should have been INT'd, period. He made some nice passes, but he was not going up against quality defenders to say the least. At least he had Thompson and Wleker to throw to.

If Sage is the starter then I am going to start to worry.

Well we have nothing to lose with this QB situation. Feeley is done and who knows if Frerotte can help. Give Rosenfels a shot!

he has more poise than your typical 3rd stringer. he decent footwork and a nice delivery

when i think of a 3rd stringer, i think of either someone who's old and trying to stay in the league or a player who is very young and has a long way to go in terms of slowing the game down

i dont see those things form sage

EDIT: i also think 3rd string should be revolving door where you bring in projects you think may have potential. if you wana say sage is past that point, then cut him and bring in a new project

Ok, lets do it....and Sage starts to show his true 3rd stringer side, will you be calling for his head? Who will we start then? I mean come on man, I understand that you want a decent QB at the helm, but Sage is not the answer for the season.

Sage will get you as far as a nickel gets you to put something on lay-away...nowhere fast.
