Sage Rosenfels: "Ireland is the worst GM of my career"

Yea, you usually don't like the boss who puts the organization above youy wants. C'mon Sage, not liking somebody doesn't implicate them for the accusations that are being thrown around.

The Raiders may have had 4 QBs but if Sage was released whose to say they don't cut that 4th and pick up Sage. Sounds like it was a decision that best helped this team try to win.

Sage isn't the only player with this opinion. I saw an article where a NFL GM said something to the effect "Speaking with other GMs around the league we cant believe how Ireland still has a job"
This was before the whole JM RI saga
Most gireveances filed against the Dolphins than any other team, other former players agreeing with Sage...Ireland sucks

Wow some of you guys would defend Ireland if he beat up your kid. Sage was a fringe player no doubt but the fact he singled out Ireland as the worst GM he's ever played for has to tell us something considering he was a journeyman player who played for a lot of teams. He isn't the only player who feels this way either. Why aren't we hearing about how bad other GM's are? Lets face it, if there are still posters hoping to be right about Jeff Ireland being a good GM and building a good team it's over. It's obvious we'll never, ever be a Super bowl winning team with him pulling the strings. So digest it, even though I know it's real tough, if you've supported Ireland and thought he was a good GM you WERE WRONG. I promise being wrong about what you post on a silly fan message board is not that bad.

Hilarious that people think playing ability makes you a better judge of character. It doesn't matter if Sage was great or horrible. His ability to judge someone has nothing to do with his ability to play.

If Ireland is to be fired then let it be over his job performance. Not some outta context line in a discussion.

This.

Maddog's post was important: we lead the league in grievances. This isnt something that is "happening to every team" or just some bitter player pissed because he was cut. Ireland is pissing off a lot of players, offending them to the point of action against him. And the fact that a guy who's floated around the league(and been in our building before Ireland no less) singles him out as the absolute worst person to work for...its telling. And unsurprising.

More scandals, more disgruntled players, another mediocre season on the horizon... This is just so Ireland. But hey, he hasnt committed genocide and the next guy might be an African warlord so he still worth defending.

It could of been rosenfels, mahatma Gandhi, Buddha, the impossible to tell a lie man and superman all saying the same thing and they'll still defend Ireland to no end.
