Hey, theres been so much Qb talk with the Miami Dolphins, I think people forget that Sage Rosenfels helped us pick up two wins. I know your all going to say that he couldnt lead us againt the Browns, but look at him against the bills with a 21 point comeback. Or againt NY Jets, when he came in and won the game for us. Do u think he could be a possible future for the Dolphins?

I would keep Sage around as our #3....or have him and Lemon fight for the #3, have Gus go to the #2, as soon as we get our franchise QB. I missed the Cleveland game so I can't figure out how they shut us out.....first game I have missed in years and we lose to a cupcake.

It's been reported from insiders that the coaching staff already thinks he's not the future, so this pretty much is a dead issue.

Oh, so it was your fault!

Yeah, I think I cursed the team by not watching the game...I was sick as a dog that day and could not make it to the Sportsbar. I think we lost 22-0...I felt even sicker when I heard the score.....we would have been 10-6 had we beaten them and we would be playing the Broncos for the AFC Championship game most likely right up the road at Mile High Stadium.

I'd be surprised if Sage was still on the roster come training camp.

Yea both wins he came in and won...I doubt he can be a starter newhere he'll be a journey man like Frerotte

These are my thoughts on Sage.

I believe that sage stays only one way. That would be if the reports of how impressed the coaching staff is with Lemon are false. But it does appear that Lemon has some pontential and impressive. So therefore I think Sage walks, and here are my reasons why.

1. The team my just let him go because if Lemon is impressive then he shows he can be atleast a backup and he's young and younger than Sage. Plus lets assume that we draft a Q'b which is a good option. We then have Lemon, Gus (if he reduces his contract) or another Vet if Gus is let go, and the rookie. There we have three Qb's. I just can't see the team resigning Sage. The only way is if they feel that he's the answer and it just doesn't appear they think that.

2. I think Sage may try to find a place to start. He has showcased his abilities and I think several teams would be interested in him. If not for a starter, but for a backup. Sage probably feels like it may be time to move on.

He won't start because you can't run shotgun an entire game. Plus if you have Lemon who is younger and has potential who could be a backup and MAYBE just maybe be a starter, what would you do. You'd probably let Sage go. Running shotgun may have inflated his stats, but that won't stop a team from taking a shot on him.

there is no reason why not to bring back sage .. he is a great backup .. he did his job when he was a backup he would come in and do wut had to be done ....... but as a starter he isn;t that great

I like Sage a lot, and It'll be a shame when he signs with another team this offseason. With that said, he is not a franchise QB and I doubt he will be, but he showed a lot of value as a guy who can pick up where an injured starter left of or spart a team mid-game. This is just not the place for him, because we have a backup starting and need to find the franchise QB.

Personally I think Saban almost has to bring Sage back. For one he doesn't really know what this Lemon kid can do. Gus is pretty much a hit away from retirement anyways plus his salary.

Sage would be the best candidate to keep as a backup because he has experience with the team and knows the offense. And maybe he also shows enough to beat Lemon also. For me I think Sage might be to valueable to just let go. Especially when he doesn't make a whole lot.
