I have nothing against AJ Feeley....in fact, I admired his courage last year when he faced bodily harm every time he took the field. His performance against New England was a great moment.
Looking back, it is more clear than ever that Spielman wasted a second round pick. Why wasn't Sage given a chance? I'll never understand that. Sage is a bright guy with a great college career. He has all the tools and when he briefly played at Washington, he looked very good. He has always performed well in training camps and many players have said he throws the best ball.
Feeley may someday be a good NFL quarterback, but I never saw him as an upgrade over Sage. I'm glad Saban finally sees the same thing.
