HE DID IT AGAIN! I am honestly thinking he will be a great backup on another squad next year, assuming we draft a QB and ferotte will be our starter next year at the beginning of the season.

Would anyone like to keep Sage and not Gus? :dolphins:
 
I'm not sure about that. I think we should play Rosenfels and see what we have. Its obvious we are no worse with him at QB. Please don't tell me that New York played prevent all second half. Gus is what he is and that is not a starter. Sage is a slight mystery so what do we lose by playing him. If he stinks it up, put Gus back in there. We have nothing to lose by playing him. We need to do whats best for the team and find out what kind of player Rosenfels is. I see plays from Sage that I never see from Gus but Gus plays with the first team offense and gets the reps so Sage did well for being the backup.
 
NO. Despite Sage playing well Gus has ALOT better pocket presence and an absolute laser for an arm. Sage is a great backup QB and that is all he will ever be (See MIA vs CLE). If we keep Gus in next year, get a few good FA's, and have a good draft, I could see us eaisly in the playoffs and mabey even to the AFC title game, no joke. I would like our Qb's to look like this next year.

See, I don't get this. Gus has been bad for twelve years. It is absolute insanity to keep thinking he's going to be good some day.

After today, he probably falls from his perch at 27th RANKED QB in football.

He has terrible pocket presence and "laser" usually denotes power AND accuracy. Gus is one of the worst accuracy qbs in the last decade. Seriously, look it up.

Gus is terrible.

Sage is a great backup QB and that is all he will ever be (See MIA vs CLE).

Sage ca't have a bad game?

He led the greatest 4th quarter comeback we've had in THIRTY YEARS.

If we keep Gus in next year, get a few good FA's, and have a good draft, I could see us eaisly in the playoffs and mabey even to the AFC title game, no joke. I would like our Qb's to look like this next year.

Do you have any idea how bad he has been this year? Why on earth do people think he's good?

Sage may not be the answer but Gus is 100% not the answer.
 
Now that we are officialy elliminated from the playoffs it would make a lot more sense to play one of the young qbs than it did a week ago.

This is a quote from a source that was asking questions about a laser acuurate passer name Smith. Supposedly smith had the strongest arm on the team which included Frerotte. Everytime I hear about Gus's laser I think of this question. Also when you call something a laser as in talking accuracy should we not be talking about a Qb with as low an accuracy rate in his career as Gus. As for strong armed I do not think that Frerotte has any stronger arm than Sage.
 
did anybody see that throw sage made inbetween four guys to welker, that does not happen with a backup QB guys, this guy is our future, it is time

See, I think you're probably right. Here's my problem:

Everyone on earth except ScottLinehan and Ferotte's mom knew he wasn't the answer. Not even for a stopgap.

No one can be more than 98% sure that Sage isn't.

And since we wasted time on Ferotte, we STILL don't know. All Sage has done this year is give us more questions. Brilliant/terrible/brilliant.

This is exactly what we did for five years with Wanny and there is only one thing that I want from Saban this offseason:

Stop this horrible cycle. Do not go into next year wth Gus at quarterback.

If you draft a rookie and need a caretaker, get one that can put up better than a SUB 70 passer rating.

Gus lovers forget that gus also sucked against cleveland and also forget that sage led the comeback. they are like gus could have done that too.
ya ****ing right.

Gus is a career backup. He needs to go back to the bench. I hope Gus isn't starting for us next year. He is bad.

Sage has a 10% chance of being the answer while Gus is at 0%.
