Hello fin fans. Some may know me in the past as INsabanwetrust1. However, I was forced to change my account due to the disgusting lowblow dealt by Nicholas Saban our former coach. When Nick came here there was so much hope and excitement for the future. We felt our franchise was headed in the right direction under his lead. Well Nick ended up not being as big of a saint as we thought he would be.
He went 15-17 in 2 seasons and like his predecessors made a critical trade for a quarterback. Well, in this case two. Wanny traded a 2nd rounder for AJ feeley and Saban traded a 2nd for culpepper and a 5th for harrington. Let's be honest...It doesn't look like harrington will be on our roster next year and Culpepper will survive a couple more years. Our new coach will hopefully do what most coaches have to do in this league to be successful- draft a franchise quarterback. I'm not saying we should do that this year. I for one think we should give Culpepper another year to see if he's fully healed. But quarterback is not our only problem.
Through Wandstedts and Saban's eras as coach, 5 years of consecutively m issing the playoffs, we have wasted zach thomas and jason taylors careers. Jason Taylor is contemplating retirement and zach only has a few years left. Now, we really are starting from scratch. With only a handful of quality young players on our roster (brown, crowder, v.carey, roth, w.allen, and possibly jason allen) we are left in a difficult position for these next couple years. Whoever comes in as our headcoach will need to grab 2-3 starters for the next 3 years to instill Young Players, More Talent, and New Faces into this team. The years of jason taylor and zach thomas leading this team are coming to an end. Culpepper, mcmichael, chambers, and booker could very well have only a couple years left with our fins.
Our new coach will have to basically rehaul our entire offense besides ronnie brown in the skill positions and build a strong oline. On defense we'll be ok because we have some young talented players combined with some vets. We need to spend some early picks on the front 7 on D and our secondary will continue to develop.
Coach's are linked with their quarterbacks...and hopefully our new coach( cameron, ravens d coord, or rivera) will be able to get the right qb and create the right kind of chemistry where we can be successful like the Dolphin Nation is used to. I'm 18 years old and i have not seen a dolphins super bowl. That is PATHETIC!!! I've seen two marlins world series in a sport with NO parity, a Heat Finals Victory, a Panthers Stanley Cup apperance, a Gators bball and football national championship, but NO 0 zilch Dolphins Super Bowl Apperance. I actually miss the Jimmy Johnson early Wanstedt days when we lost first round ever year. I just hope our new coach won't screw us over like our last one.
