SAINT NICKTATOR?

Nearly a year after news of Nick Saban's impending arrival as head coach of the Dolphins sparked a near mutiny in the locker room, word is that the team is smitten with the Nicktator.

There's a lot of excitement, we're told, within the organization regarding the 7-7 record in Saban's first season. The fact that the team is sitting on a pile of cap room for the acquisition of free agents in 2006 has the many inside the building believing that next year could mark the franchise's return to glory.

At the top of Saban's wish list for next season could be receiver Terrell Owens. Saban has the chutzpah to believe that he can properly manage T.O. -- and the truth is that Saban probably can.

The first item of business, however, is to find a guy who can distribute the pig. We've previously heard that the team is very high on Cleo Lemon, who was acquired as part of the A.J. Feeley trade. It'll also be interesting to see whether the Fins make a play for Vikings quarterback Daunte Culpepper, who less than a year after Randy Moss was shipped out of town is starting to seem like a guy who needs a change of scenery even more than Moss did.

IN SAINT NICK WE TRUST

wow i agree with this article as well and I was reading on sporting news in the miami section that they expect saban to go after the best available qb and get T.O. the man i call the savior of dolphins football . rooting agianst T.O. is like rooting against the miami dolphins . if we get culpepper i really beleive more people will get on the miami bandwagon.

ok go ahead people flame master Rosco if you want but i want the dolphins to return to glory.

dont mess with the rosco for he is the equivalent of master windu.

Terrell Owens should not be allowed anywhere NEAR the Miami Dolphins. If he buys a ticket for a 'Fins home game, he should be turned away at the entrance to the stadium. He's a locker-room cancer, a loudmouth punk, overpaid, and getting old (for an NFL WR).

Just say no to TO, please.

im gonna have to agree on TO. he is getting old, wants a huge contract and can destroy a team if he's not happy.

Ive said it before and ill say it again. Saban managed to handle RW and his issues without problem, Manny Wright and his crying, Channing Crowder and the supposed attitude issue which was part of why he dropped to rd 3, hes managed to make his system work with a D whose best players were only accustomed to a 4-3 base, and hes gotten us to 7-7 without a real solution at QB.

TO will be a walk in the park for St Nick and hes 1 of the players we need to make our offense even better.

If allocate our cap space towards another wr like a TO or an Isaac Bruce, find a qb somewhere (McNair please santa), get a NT, and get a CB...watchout. I cant wait for the offseason. Giggiddy giggiddy giggiddy

This is the best part, because of last year he won't get a huge long contract, and he maybe older but is either the best or 2nd best WR no questions asked. He gets enough seperation himself to even make Gus look like a superstar. Him and Chambers on the outside, with Welker in the slot and Ronnie out of the backfield would be downright scary. If you think Chambers is good now, he will be 2X better getting single coverage with a #2 CB and little safety help. Nick made Ricky coming back seem pretty easy, and most people were ready to kill Ricky last year. I will trust in Saban's judgement here, he has looked like gold so far.

NO NO NO NO NO... T.O. is aging and has been hurt alot..so have alot of the qb's that are thrown out there like a Mc nabb and Culpepper..not that i dont think either would be an upgrade...its tough to say for sure they could come in andcatch on to this offense quickly...although Culpepper would be able to hook up with linehan,we are not sure linehan wont be offered a head coaching posistion with someone,I really hope that nick follows the plan of building through the draft and getting good sevicable young guys in free agency, screw all this give TO a big contract and we can WIN .. look at philly is all I can say it was a strong team untill TO got done there now... well it speaks for itself ...I say No BIG MONEY DEALS FOR GUYS AT THE END OF THIER ROPES TO START WITH!!! This team got younger big time this year and i expect more so next year. Nick will not spend all the money we have because they are setting up for a longer run I hope.
