The NFL Network reports the New Orleans Saints have released QB Aaron Brooks, making him an unrestricted free agent.

Given the Mueller connection do you think the Dolphins will take a look at him as a backup QB. ? What do you think of him.?
 
I think he would be a good option as a backup. He plays a similar game to Culpepper. He has started before and our backup might need to start a few games at the beginning of the season. It might work well for Brooks, if he can't compete for a starting job anywhere else. A one year deal, giving him the option of finding something else, the following year.

He'd be a great backup.

Hey. We'd be the only team in the league with an entire roster of QBs who are black. As well as a black center if thats where Hadnot stays. Pretty cool.
 
he is much better than Maddox or anything else we have on the roster right now for a back up. We need a backup the only problem would be is price tag

Agreed, If we can't get Gus to come back at a bargain, it wouldn't shock me if we signed him on the cheap.
