We can really do some damage now, if we restructure patterson and wallace we can get anyone we want, and still look good next year. Per Adam Schefer.
Actually this rewards teams that spent big the last few years. This is going to dry up the free agent market and the ones that do hit the market will get outrageous contracts. Last year would have been the year to spend a lot and then grt some breathing room with the cap increase.

I was hoping it would peak at around 130 now the ravens have a legit shot at getting the Monroe deal done.
Hard to say what Balt will do but, the extra money does not help us with Monroe. I still don't think they will tag him, and they have the big Flacco contract to deal with.
Has anyone seen any other teams reported to be looking for a LT other than Balt, Zona, and us?
Just spend wisely Dawn. You dont have to spend to look good. You just have to spend the money on certain players who are worth it even if you go over on them. Forget anyone who is not top ten in league for big money.

Pittsburgh? I mean, people may think they are allright. I think their Oline was putrid. yeah injuries but they were working with 3rd stringers with Starks molestation man.
I just think it's bull crap that now teams that should be in trouble for being reckless can breath easy.
Like raising the debt ceiling basically.
Oh...half NFL teams are in cap hell? Lets raise it up some so they don't get hurt.
This is what keeps teams on level playing fields. Pay super stars crazy money and the rest of your team suffers. Now teams like the Ravens that have the Flacco hell contract can rest easy with an additional $14 over next 2 years.
This hike will hurt our chances. The list of free agents will keep on getting smaller.
Ozzy rules!!
It likely will, to a degree but, FA contracts have been going up the last couple of year while the cap has not, and actually went down. I believe that teams being forced to spend 90% of the cap has more bearing on the FA market dwindling that the 8% cap increase.
