Anyone know what our salary cap number is at the moment after the release of Zach ? How much was he slated to earn this season ?

From what I have heard, after all the cuts, we are sitting at about $37 million under.

According to this site we had $35.56 million as of Dec 27th 2007.

We saved approximately $9 million with the first cuts and another $5.6 million from Zacks cut. Supposedly the Salary cap is increasing by $7 million for all the teams, from $109 million in 2007 to $116 million in 2008.
If this is all correct then we should have close to $50 million after the cap increase.

No it won't. We can only use a certain allotment of that (about $13 million, I think) for our draft picks. The #1 pick is going to want at least $30 million in guaranteed money, the right escalators and void clauses, etc. When was the last time the #1 overall was in camp on time?
