How does the situation look for next year, the real 1st year of the Nick Saban era ? Will we be burdened or wealthy with some money to spend ??

well seeing as you guy's were bad this year i don't expect next year to be much different

well we did sign a bunch of 1 year contracts this year, so next year will be an interesting one with who stays and who goes, thats for sure...

That's what I was thinking.....will our reputation as a class organization be too tainted with losing 2 years in a row, not making the playoffs 4 years in a row, and the losing good FA's in 2004 (Tait and another guy...forget his name) that we offered big contracts too.

Also should have kep Kevin Donnelly and matched what Houston paid him, would it have made the team better last year and this year ?

You mean Todd Wade, and he was overpaid by Houston thats why we didnt match.

no.. he means Damien Woody... our Oline was hurting and we went after Woody big time, he took a huge bonus in Detroit and we go Jeno James, John St Clair and Damion McIntosh.

I think he means we missed out on Damien Woody when he was a FA and should have kept Todd Wade, whom Houston overpaid for, although we're missing him on the right side of the OL now.

I know he was talking about missing out on Woody, but he also said that we should have kept Donnaley(sp) and matched what Houston paid him. That is what I was refering to.

Now if Olin Kreutz would have just signed rather than re-upping with Chicago a few years ago:yell:

To me that one would have been bigger than all of the rest. A mean Pro Bowl C, instead we have Seth "The Sweathog" McKinney.

That was worse than losing out on Woody...
