As best I can sort out, we have over $10M in cap space. This does not include Jordan, who can add $2.5M, depending on what Miami decides to do. It does not also include Wheeler's $3M coming June 1.
Our rookie draft allocation is $5.3M but, actual cost will be around $3M, which wheeler covers.

Bottom line is that we have $10-13M to play with for any possibility in trade or late cuts to improve the team.

In 2016, IF you include Tannehill's $16M option, we will be over the cap by around $5M. However, this includes Jennings at $5.5M, Jordan at $5.6M, and Cameron at $9.5M to start.

Great shape this year, and in the future.

Good. Wish there was a FA LB or Guard worth spending it on.

Never know what options in trade or cuts may turn up. Good to be in a position to make whatever deals we want without disturbing what we now have.

Yeah, no question, just such an unknown right now. Wishing some Cowboy would get cut now that they got Collins.

I wanna see some of this go to stealing the amazing depth the Cowboys now have along their O-line.

A buddy of mine is a Dallas fan and mentioned Leary as getting displaced due to La'el Collins signing. Any info on this kid or other potential Dallas cast offs?

I was looking over the number's a few days ago, they've really done a great job. Guess it'd look worse if we fixed one more hole but overall they have a ton to roll over into next year and a TON of outs next year. You've gotta factor in that Grimes is going to be gone or back at a lower rate, Wake is probably in that same boat, Earl Mitchell could get moved on from with Phillips in the fold I'm sure that's what they were considering. Handful of other guys that could find ourselves with $30M+ in space going into next offseason with a young roster a year more experienced.

Would carrying it over mean we wouldn't start next year over the cap?

A CB would have been nice. As you say, many options to get to over $30M next year, and remember that Suh goes from $28M to $15M from next year to 2017 to pick up Tannehill.

I also like that we have few FA's to worry about. Miller, OV, Delmas, and Shelby are all I can think of. Some stability would be a good thing.

Dion Jordan’s suspension costs him more than $5.6 million

Most significantly, $3.35 million of previously-paid signing bonus will be forfeited, meaning Jordan will have to give back that portion of his $13.34 million signing bonus.

Once the Dolphins collect the $3.35 million, they’ll get a salary-cap credit. And they’ll continue to hold Jordan’s rights, if/when he’s reinstated.

My biggest gripe is guard...but I wish we added more perimeter options. Right now a lot of slot CB's. The fact we're in such good shape with Suh in by far his most cap crippling year and Tanny on the books for $16M is very encouraging. And you're correct, very few FA's that need to be a priority. Ajayi may make Miller expendable, Fede has shown flashes and if OV prices us out you can generally find some solid value at pass rusher. Delmas is probably going into retirement after this year anyway and I assume that's what we drafted Thompson for.

Cant fix everything in one off season obviously... OG and ILB are my gripes... outside CB would of been nice too... but what a great off season its been all in all. next year some work to do to continue!!! hopefully we can keep some of our pieces with resignings too next season!!! but 2015 first!!! DEVELOP and ACCOMPLISH!!!

The legal analyst Munson said he is liable bot "lots of luck in getting the money back."

The best way would be having him play for free next year but, don't think Miami wants that. Also not sure if offset language comes into play. Have to wait and see what Miami chooses to do.

I'm hoping that Wake and Grimes can give us two more good yrars, which would be great for this team. If not, Wake saves us $8.4M and Grimes $6.5M next year. Jennings saves $4M. Cameron is a $9.5M hit or a $7.5M savings. He may be worth a new and cheaper deal if he has a good year.

Mitchell is a $3.5M hit or a $2.5M savings. Have to think he stays. Jones is an $8.2M hit or a $6.3M savings. I think we sign him to a cheaper extension for the first year cap hit. Again, I expect Tannehill to sign a new deal with around $6M hit next year.

Hard to say what will be rolled over. We could still make a few moves and then there are injuries. I think that it will at least cover the $5M we are over next year's cap with a few million left over.

Next year's cap space is shaping up much like this years, with nothing to start but, ending up that we can sign whoever we want. Looking Good.
