Salary Cap

Anybody, know how we are situated
Roughly we are at $98 million for 2006. That is $6 million over the projected $92 million cap. Though they have said that the cap could be as high as $95 million(I hope).

You have to keep in mind that this is still counting some of the big contracts we will get rid of(aka Howard, Seau, ect.) Cutting Tebucky Jones and Damion McIntosh will free up around $11 million by itself.

The Dolphins could be as much as $15 million under the cap going into FA and the draft. The cap is in great shape. :)

well, to me, and I do not know a hell of a lot let alone go with different stories. Who the hell are you suppose to believe?

My take is that we are 8 mil over at the current cap. The next cap is going up 10 mil or so so we end up just under. Then the cuts that we already have planned will get us 12 mil or so under. I say do this with FA:

Josh Reed (cheap role player Saban guy)
Hutchinson G Would be awesome to get him, This is the guy i would push for
Peterson LB depending on his asking price

Nice update Nubs but then we have Madison and restructure Mare possibly ZT and JT which will give us even more money!:)

Hutchinson will get the tag. Its pretty cheap for guards. No way he walks...

JT's cap number is aroud 11 mil, and zachs is around 8 mil. Those can be redone as signing bomuses and spread out a bit more. What is really hurting is the damn CBA. We need that extension so we can spread out the siging bonuses of our players...

The more times we restructure Jason and Zach, the more dead cap we push into the future. Our long-term cap situation is better if we can keep Jason and Zach at their current cap figures in 2006.
