Salguero agrees that Garrard is the starter, Moore & THill competing for backup spot

After hiring Philbin, signing Garrard, deciding on West Coast offense and drafting Tannehill, planets aligned against Matt Moore. He was the No. 1 reason the Dolphins had a resurgence last year after 0-7 start. But he's not a West Coast guy. His talent is slinging the ball downfield. If he was on a few teams as a back-up last year, they'd have made playoffs. I've operated under the idea as long as Garrard and Tannehill are as advertised that Moore will be traded for fifth- or sixth-round pick.

there's not a whole lot of value in a 5th or 6th rounder and moore's cheap...at the same time though do you carry 3 qbs on the 53...i'm sure they think moores one of the best 53 they have...

I don't think they'll end up moving Matt Moore for a 5th or 6th. If they did that and Garrard goes down we'd be left with a rookie and Devlin leading this team. Just don't see Ireland taking a risk like that especially at Moore's low cap number.

I think it's great we have that option, should it come down to that. Very low cap number on our QB's.

I can't help but to think Devlin is driving some of this. If he is a viable option, it makes Moore that much more expendable.
his strengths are well-suited to the WCO

It's no surprise Garrard is outplaying Moore but I'd like to see him against an opposing defense and see if he can hold up after being hit a few times.

Im just glad T hill is looking good because neither Garrard or Moore is the answer. I do wish we had better weapons for all these guys though

I like Garrard, but his career low td's per year scares the hell out of me.

We need to score and he hasn't proved that he can throw 30 plus td's in a season.

I agree, but keep in mind that he did play for Jack Del Rio.

I am not going to annuounce a winner because of injuries and such but c'mon Moore did not seperate himself from Henne and won't seperate himself from Garrard - in GAME action he isn't as good protecting the ball as Garrard
