Salguero: Chad Henne stinking it up in the fourth quarter

Cant' say I don't agree with this, he couldn't even get us 15yds against the browns to win the damn game! It's not like he was facing the 85 bears defense out there!

He couldn't even get us 7 yards and a CHANCE at a Field Goal. It was awful but he is not alone to take blame.

"Henne's not doing anything to lose games for the Dolphins, but he's not doing anything to win them either. He's a serviceable starter who has very limited upside. You can do better." --- ESPN Fantasy Football.

Yep this sounds exactly what us as fans see as well.

He is 7th in fantasy points...

Depending on the league and the rules, but he's doing damn good this season as a QB. Fantasy points don't mean crap if he's not winning games.
He's my backup to Rodgers.

That really is the problem...yes he has improved...but his performance on third down is bad.

He still is not what yoiu are looking for in a franchise QB in this league, and this franchise, should it be lucky enough to get Andrew Luck, simply can't pass it up.

My problem with the article and most of your views here is that you guy's are acting as if Henne in on the field by himself. On that last drive where we needed 15 yards to kick the FG, i didn't see henne overthrow or underthrow any OPEN receivers I did see receivers fail to get separation, and run their route out of bounds. Who's fault is that. If no one gets open how is that henne's fault. And yes some QB's can throw players open but i don't have the confidence in any of our receivers that if Henne's throws them the ball when they're covered that they will come down with the ball. What's more likely to happen is that the DB will outplay the Receiver and intercept the ball then you all will be bashing Henne for throwing picks. Henne's fine the problem is he doesn't have one receiver that he can trust to make a play when they're covered so he has to take sacks or run.

What's going on around him though? are the receivers even getting open in the 4th quarter? is the kicker making FG's? and we already know the oline is letting everyone through like Kristen down the block.

What's going on around him is that he has no security blanket in the form of a pass-catching tight end who can create matchup problems and get open in those situations.

Major personnel blunder IMO.

You'd think that in 4 years, they'd think to sign or draft an athletic, pass catching tight end. Nope. 31 other teams did it but us? nope, don't need one. we have Mastrud!

This and this +1

I am not suggesting Henne doesn't deserve his share of critiquing but he is playing better this season hands down.

Who I am ****ing bashing the **** out of is Armando and his lack "in depth" anything. This dumb-*** has got to be the worst beat writer that I have ever had the displeasure of reading. If he presented a case and then backed it with some facts supporting his case I wouldn't have a problem with Armando but his in-depth analysis consists of a magic eight ball which he asked questions after hastily scrawling them while listening to ESPN on the ****er, which is subsequently is where 99.9% of his articles belong.

A agree.. this whole offense needs to step up and MAKE PLAYS. The O-line needs to step the **** up and BLOCK. Marshall needs to catch the damn ball! Sparano needs to stop kissing Bush's *** and use him like they did in New Orleans.

And the defense.... don't get me started.

all this talk about "talent" being on this team.

In my world, "talent" means guys who make plays. Guess not in Davie.

He did try to throw the ball, it's not like he took 4 sacks in those plays.

I like what I've seen in Henne so far, and the team needs to step up for him. But I agree better QBs find a way to make plays in those situations. Peyton Manning comes to mind.

Exactly, every week I'm watching QB's just throw the ball up and watch their receivers make plays (ie' Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald come to mine) The only QB that i see that's good without big time receivers is tom brady but their scheme's seem to be unstoppable as his receivers are often times WIDE OPEN and he has two of the best tight ends in the league and the best slot receiver in the the league.

Who on our team are PLAYMAKERS??? Marshal? Bush? Cam Wake? Dansby? None of them have made a play when we needed it the most this year and dansby hasn't made any plays at all. Pathetic!
