Exactly, every week I'm watching QB's just throw the ball up and watch their receivers make plays (ie' Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald come to mine) The only QB that i see that's good without big time receivers is tom brady but their scheme's seem to be unstoppable as his receivers are often times WIDE OPEN and he has two of the best tight ends in the league and the best slot receiver in the the league.

Who on our team are PLAYMAKERS??? Marshal? Bush? Cam Wake? Dansby? None of them have made a play when we needed it the most this year and dansby hasn't made any plays at all. Pathetic!

Brady's success mainly comes from an OL that gives him *forever* to throw the ball. It's so disproportionate to league average it's funny.

Give *any* pro QB time like that and he's going to be putting up some great stats. Brady deserves credit of course, but it's mostly the OL.

He did try to throw the ball, it's not like he took 4 sacks in those plays.

I like what I've seen in Henne so far, and the team needs to step up for him. But I agree better QBs find a way to make plays in those situations. Peyton Manning comes to mind.

Yes he tried to throw the ball but he was throwing to receivers that weren't open. Bess wasn't open because he ran a lazy route by his own admission, Gates ran out of bounds, Marshall wasn't open. And i think Henne got hit on the pass he tried to throw to bess so who's the blame here? if guy's aren't open I don't see how we blame the QB. IJS

I don't see anything wrong with the article, and in fact I think it focuses on exactly what Chad Henne's remaining problem is.

Colt McCoy drove his team down for the win. Chad Henne choked.

And it's a shame, too, because success in that situation would've helped him develop much further into the leadership role this team desperately needs from its players right now.

Chad Henne desperately needs to win a game for his team so he can become the leader it needs.

Correction : Colt McCoy lobbed the ball up into the end zone twice and due to the fact that we did not have a competent defensive back on the field all game, both passes went for TDs. Any remotely decent NFL corner knocks both of those DUCK passes away... It also did not help that we currently have the pass rush of a 4th grade football team.
Chad Henne does WIN the damn game if Brandon Marshall can catch the balls he needs to catch and if our o line can protect him worth half a ****. Henne had a much better day than McCoy did.

No, I agree with you. That's what I want to see from my QB - to at least *try* to make a play.

He could be *better*, but right now he's playing much better than last year.

As retarded as Mando is 99% of the time, the was using numbers that reflect a real issue in this article. You cant toss it out because you dont like the author and it proves a bad point about your team. We are averaging 17PPG. Its unfair to blame everyone but the QB for that. The fact is, Henne has consistently come up short when we needed him to shine the most. Last game he was great for 3 quarters until he went to **** in the 4th. That happened. Its up to Henne to fix that quickly or he will be seeing the door after the season, and rightfully so.

It's always someone else's fault. Marshall, Bess, Bush are extremely potent weapons in a passing game. They all just simultaneously forget how to play in the clutch? The QB is the primary playmaker on an offense. He has to be. This view of Henne just seems so detached from the realities of the rest of the league. We're not the only team with breakdowns in pass protection. QBs can make plays under pressure. It's not as unheard of as Henne makes it seem. The QB is who you look to in the clutch. Henne not being good in the 4th quarter is just the way he plays. It's not a this year thing, and it's not just a reporter with an agenda talking about this. If anything, I'm disappointed the beat reporters aren't pointing out more about how the bad parts of Henne's performance this year are in line with what he has done his entire career.

You are correct that by themselves they are facts. Nobody will deny that. They become excuses when you use them to justify Henne's repeated poor performance in the 4th quarter. Nobody is saying Henne is the main reason we suck. He isnt. But he is part of the problem. He needs to either improve his 4th quarter performance or GTFO. Its total bull**** to think the entire team except Henne just stops playing at the end of the 3rd and they make Henne look bad. Thats just retarded. Henne was good for three quarters last week, then **** the bed in the 4th and our most crucial drive of the season. Thats a fact and a recurring one at that.

I find it amusing that we seem to be the only fan base who blames everyone else except the QB. You take away those garbage minutes against New England and Henne is the same QB as last year. I believe he has thrown more INT's through 3 games this year compared to last. Also the defense isn't as big as a problem as many of you think. Last year against NE we gave up over 35 points in each game and still had a top 10 defense. Well we play NE this year and a Texan team with the same high powered offense. We held the Browns to 10 points for 98% of the game. In the NFL you can't just settle for 15 points and then tell your defense to keep making plays. People want to kill Marshall for dropping passes, but why do they fail to point out all the times Marshall gets position in the end zone only for Henne to throw the fade 10 feet over his head and out of bonds.

Not really. Brady is a great QB, but the stats he is putting up are mind numbing. Thats a combination of being great and having FOREVER to throw. Brady has been putting up MVP numbers for years, but these numbers are historic.
