Salguero: Disturbing details emerge regarding owner Stephen Ross

ross doesnt want to the media, ireland doesnt wanna talk, sparano doesnt wanna talk, something is going down.

this gets more rediculous by the minute.

the players that were passed up were because tony and company are all about ex cowboys that they are familiar with. they have fasano, ex cowboy [who seems to be having a decent year] who up until now wasnt anything special, but, hes a cowboy and that loyalty tops all. be loyal to "your guys" as was was bill parcells life long mantra. tony and jeff seem to be following that philosophy religiously.

marc columbo? the absolute consensus WORST rt against the pass in the nfl? hmmmm, why him over mckinney and other tackles in f/a? ex cowboy. 1 is a coincidence, 4,5,6 is a PATTERN!

ROSS PUBLICALLY gave a blank check to ireland and sparano to bring in who they wanted. and, they did just that! all ex cowboys. they happened to come cheap because NO ONE WANTED THEM other than the old cowboys staff in place in miami!!!

for the last friggin' time, the ORTON deal NEVER GOT PAST ORTON! there was never any meetings with denver brass, NO money or terms were discussed as orton wanted to stay in denver and was only noodling the broncs by talking with the dolphins. so, if ross and denver never had talks, how was there any money held back by ross in that deal?

after last year, after the team colapse, after the harbaugh embarrassment that tarnished ross integrity, after publically saying he believed in sparano and ireland he tells them to sand bag the team and not spend any money? really? come on people. if someone told armando his birth mother was really a man, he would fall for it and report it. and whats worse? many of his readers would obviously believe it to.

i have some issues with ross for sure, keeping sparano and ireland, the harbaugh embarassment, but sand bagging his team, telling fans he was doing everything for the team but behind the scenes is PURPOUSLY cutting their throats [in an obama fast and furious kind of way] i dont believe it for one second. he is a kazillionair. he likes to win, at EVERYTHING, and when you take on a sports team, you have now attached there wins and losses to your other biz interests. if the team suffers and folks are mad it could spill over to some of his local interests. its human nature to not do biz with a guy who you believe is ruining your life long team! the dolphins are a business venture for ross and winners dont want losing ventures in their portfolio. and they sure wont do it on purpous!!!!

ross's big mistake was not firing tony and jeff after last year and then persuing harbaugh and other gm's and coaches. he wants a winner! he knows that in any biz, you have to give money to get results. sand bagging his own biz interest would get him nowhere.

lets not get sucked into rediculous media hype stories.

Ross is not a "winner". He is not a sports fan or a fan of the Dolphins. He lives in a bubble that is is filling with even more fantasy like 2nd rate singers and tennis stars.

He is a businessman. And he is losing money.

Everything comes from the top.

It is like Bush. Sends the Military off to the wrong war and at home cuts their benefits. He cuts back on buying them the proper equipment (because he lowered taxes during a war (no, he really did)) and allows mercenaries to work there and make 12-20 times more then a American Soldier does,

Bush wanted to play at War but do it cheaply, Just because those fancy Generals told him that they would need 600,000 troops does not mean he has to listen.

Ross has decided to play being a owner of a NFL football team. He thinks that half time shows and actors in the closed SkyBoxes will bring in fans.

I'm sure he has stripped business before and had them limp along as long as they were turning a profit. He just does not get it that Sports teams are a little different and fans here in Mami will not go see a losing team.

Right, so Ross is a criminal for wanting/expecting a return on his rather sizeable investment in this franchise... Maybe, just maybe, he is a little more astute than most are giving him credit for... Money spent on McKinnie or Shockey is little more than a lost leader when we are MUCH MORE THAN TWO pieces away from the promised land...

This team needs help EVERYWHERE from the coaching ranks right through to the waterboy.

a serving of unemotional common sense dispensed from south of The Equator.

I've been critical about Ross, but I bet there's a hell of a lot more to this story. I have a feeling this "source" is Ireland trying to save his rear end. What makes more sense to me is, Ross not wanting to give away the farm for these idiots, probably gave them a budget and let them buy the groceries. It was up to them to shop smart. They didn't.

If I knew I was going to fire this regime I wouldn't have them spend my money either.

I've never been a fan of Ross, but this rings true.

Between the Harbaugh deal, the Orton Deal, and now hearing about a spending freeze, I think we have enough pieces of the puzzle to make some assumptions.

Colonel Mustard did it in the Library with the Knife.....

Or....

Ross already has a coach picked, who told Ross what conditions he wants prior to signing. Likely: Cap room, No new QB to deal with, and no back breaking contracts with stop-gap players.

I'm also guessing having a high draft pick (not saying we are purposely tanking the season, but maybe not trying all that hard) in order to draft a franchise QB (Luck?) would be a nice bonus to an incoming Head Coach.

Honestly, I don't think Ireland knows the whole plan because he is likely out the door too if we get a new HC.

January 2nd we will know exactly what is going down.

Gosh this sounds optimistic but hopefully true!!!!

Only problem with that plan...

Waiting until January 2nd to find out the fates of those involved.

Watching your team flail helplessly through the season is about as much fun as falling from a motorcycle at 50 MPH and scraping your body along the pavement a good 100 feet or more.

How anyone is going to say that Chad Henne is a negative right now on this team with a straight face just doesn't understand football

This is exactly what I've been saying and it likely would've happened already if it wasn't for the lock out.

I don't know how anybody can say Ross is a bust before he's even picked his own first regime yet

Put down the crack pipe, please. The guy is throwing hail marys when you need one first down to get into field goal range. Throws the ball away once proving he's smart enough to keep it in mind but takes 5 sacks, one of which was almost a safety, proving that he couldn't make a good, quick decision to save his life.

Chad Henne may not be losing these games but he sure as hell ain't winning them- N E G A T I V E.

QUOTE]

This would be nice but what recent evidence has any one person in this franchise shown that tells us they are competent enough to find their own a$$ with 2 hands, a GPS, a Mag light, while searching in broad daylight at high noon with clear skies in front of a 4 angle full length mirror?

The realistic perspective is that Ross hasn't the slightest idea what is to come . He's living on a prayer and if Armando is correct, giving his ear to one of the demons of our hellish situation. When Sparon is jetted out of here, Ireland should be the Goose to Sporano's Maverick.
