Salguero: Dolphins talking to Matt Flynn, putting together contract offer

What a bunch of nancies on this board. I would love to sign manning but I've always trusted that if Philbin likes Flynn, so will we. Though I really liked Marshall, we got rid of a head case and the end zone dropsies. This FO has a plan and they are carrying out by not being dormant.

Stop making sense Funky. Don't you know the real NFL is just like a Madden game? Ireland's job is easy. Hell, 99.9% of Finheaven would do a better job than that paid professional. He's just an idiot with no clue.

Don't make the Madden comparison when Ireland trading Marshall for some unrevealed masterplan involving signing exactly the right FA's to replace him (we must already have them in the bag because we know how the AO works) is more a Madden strategy than a real life strategy.

**** yeah! Would have orchestrated a 5 team trade for Marshal, Wake, Dansby and Bush and ended up with Rogers, Megatron, Willis and Jackson all while picking up an extra 2nd round pick!

All you have to do is keep hitting the button, no save, button, no save, button, no save, button, accepted, save! Easy **** man!

We traded a malcontent for two third rounders. The way I look at it, we got two picks back a round later than we gave for someone who is two years older and entering the fat part of his contract. We weren't gonna get a 1st for him. We weren't gonna get equal value to the original trade because he "depreciated".

I actually was pulling for BM but he dropped a ton of TDs this year and he just seemed like he wasn't happy here. He made me nervous. Now is his trade a part of a grand plan? Who knows. But at least we have options. We now have 4 picks in the top 75 and more cap space. And the receiver class is deep this year. And don't forget, Roberto Wallace made some people think they were seeing Brandon Marshall in wearing a different number this past preseason. He's entering his 3rd year. They may see him as filling that role.

I'll reserve judgement on this trade until after the draft. Until then, I trust that people who are paid to run football teams know a little bit more than me and you.

I'm so done with these idiots. So lets see I guess were rebuilding again, who'd have ever thunk! We trade a a top 5 receiver for peanuts and are gonna get what?
A broken down HOF elite quarterback who's a shell of him self or a $60000000 7th stringer who played 2 games(faceplant) God, how this once prominent franchise has fallen. Been a Fin's fans for forty years. Then you wonder why I drink!

Miami is monitoring the situation, but Cleveland is currently the front runner for Matt Flynn I've been told

yeah i hear denver is the frontrunner for Manning. Why not sign now then? why hesitate?

cus they are not really frontrunners...their just one of multiple decisions to be made on.

I am not for Flynn if he wants 10 mil/year. If Cleveland wants to do that....have at it.

LOL.

And the Brownies are gonna get Blackmon...Cause I don't see the VIkings at 3 going WR...I see them going OL or that LSU corner...

How can anyone blame Philbin yet? Guy hasn't coached a single game. He isn't the GM. If you hate the Marshall trade and lack of moves that's on Ireland....but bashing Philbin shows a lack of credibility.

The idea of Flynn signing here was intriguing because of Marshall and the potential there. There are now OFFICIALLY no #1 WR's available for us. We are hooped.

I question his intelligence and credibility for joining this organization and accepting the head coaching job knowing he will never amount to anything as a HC with Dumb and Dumber running the front office.

I don't understand why everyone is so high on Matt Flynn. The guy HARDLY has a "body of work" over time that shows how CONSISTENTLY good he is. He had 1 or 2 good games last year. One huge game on a Jan. 1st game that the Lions might not have been playing their best guys.

Yeah stop making sense Funky. None of these idiot fans would dream of trading a pro-bowl WR for a flaming bag of dog****, or play musical o-line and QB for 5 years, not to mention scrap the one part of our team, the 3-4 defense, and require all new personnel for the shiny new 4-3, because they arent paid professionals. Ireland, who is in his 1st tour as a GM, must know what he's doing because he was hired to do so once.

Lets all follow him blindly because he "manages" our favorite team.

it is a risk none the less...if your going to risk, atleast bring someone in to get people excited, if he doesnt pan out atleast u sold some tickets..if they do well ur a genius...matt flynn is a huge risk to me. not risk in briging him in but risk in paying this guy top money for i dunno what.

if i'm matt flynn and your telling me brian hartline is my "go to wr" if i come here miami comes off the board of teams i'm considering...
