Was just reading over the chat that Armando Salguero had today on the Miami Herald website and he believes strongly that Paul Pasqualoni and Dan Henning will be returning as coordinators in 2010. Here are some samples from the chat:

Reniel, I don't think Charlie Weis will be coming to Miami.

The chances either Dan Henning or Paul Pasqualoni leave are not very high. They'll likely be back.

Soooo

Guys like Weis and Romeo Crennel are not the answers because both will either be head coaches somewhere or coordinators.

Stayonboard:

I do not think Henning is going to retire. He might change his mind for some wildhair reason, but he wanted to come back last I heard.

Reid, the OLB coach is gone. He'll be replaced.

Um, free agency will be this:

The stud guys that usually come out, those that are 25-26 years old, won't be available this year.

Instead, because there is no cap, team will get rid of their has-beens. You'll have a bunch of highly paid 30-somethings that team signed to big contracts that will get cut to get rid of the bad contract -- guys like Gibril Wilson.

Those type of guys will be available.

Forgive me that I didn't get to your question first. I think the Dolphins keep both thier coordinators.

I know, I know, the defense was worse this year than last. But Pasqualoni is tight with Sparano and Parcells and the team had lots of injuries on D. That will be the rationalization.

Henning stays if he doesn't retire. And as of today, he's not inclined to retire.

Was a change absolutely necessary? Not really. Would a change have been justified? Yeah, probably. I personally would like to see Henning retire and give the job to David Lee, but it appears we may have to wait one more year.

I am on the fence though with Pasqualoni. He had a very good defense in 2008, but really struggled this year. Granted he did lose the anchor of the 3-4(Ferguson) and had two rookie cornerbacks starting.

So we may not get new coordinators, but we may get some new position coaches. With Reid already gone, and Edwards being rumored as a DC candidate in New York with the Giants, we are likely going to add a new linebackers coach.

We will jump at least ten spots in every major pass defense statistic if we cut Gibril Wilson. The sooner he is gone, the better.

I wanted to see Henning retire - stop the Pat White experience and limit the wild cat.

Pasq needs to be more inventive with the defense. Running a vanilla 3-4 is easy to beat. He also needs the lbs to run a good 3-4.

Special teams improved, but it wouldn't bother me to see him go.

LBs coach is also replaceable.

I would love to see them go after Bobby April for special teams coach.

I completely agree with your a points, I too would like to see DH move on. D.Lee would be an interesting pick, then I would love to see Pennington as our QB coach but I think he still wants to play. I guess as Henne grows we'll see less trickery and more traditional offense making DH look alot better as a play caller.

PP does need another shot with better players, he was ask to make chicken salad out of chicken poop. Give him a true FS, better NT play and a better ILB then Akin and then you can fairly judge him. I can't confidently judge him otherwise, it's really not fair otherwise.

Armando has no credibility with me. He has sited inside sources numerous times and fell flat on his face.

Only time will tell.

I understand the need to give these guys another shot. They should..If you give players a chance then definately give coaches a chance...this place will be a mess and we'd be starting all over if we dropped some of our coaches...we already know some huge personell changes are coming soon. Then again we are talking about Armando...he is a drama queen and says alot of things to get rave reviews..not really a trusted source for team info.,

This should surprise no one.

Not really. We should restructure him and make him Bell's backup, as they're basically the same player anyway. Bell has slightly better ball skills, but that's about it. The corners need to play better, and an offseason of work plus Will Allen's return will help tremendously. Our pass rush needs to improve, and more Wake plus a young stud ROLB to replace Joey Porter should accomplish that nicely.

Less Wilson is desirable. No Wilson at all would be a waste.

f*** Salguero.....that guys the most idiotic moron of sports writers in the history of sports writing

God, I hope the article is wrong.

I personally don't trust armando, then again I didnt figure we would be losing either one anyway.

1. I don't understand all the love that D. Lee is getting. If I'm going to give an OC job to an assistant OC, it's going to be an assistant OC like NO, GB, Indi, etc.
2. Henning and PP are absolute garbage. The moves we make this offseason don't really matter as long as they're running things - especially PP.
3. God-damned-mother-virgin-mary-giving-it-to-baby-jesus-in-his-pulsing-red-eye I hate Armando.
