Salisbury's "Guarantee"

Let them think that. Those idiots still believe that Miami will be playing a 3 man front just because Saban is a Belichick guy.

who is salisbury? what does he know about fin football? nothing!!!!!!! oh but u best beleive he will:evil:

he was fat once. That is the best thing I can think to say about him.

I don't know why everyone gets so upset and what Salisbury says. Relax.

I just think back to what Dr. Z said about Dan Marino coming to the Dolphins. That it wasn't a good fit. He had been around football for years, and still didn't have a clue. :goof:

What it comes down to it, nobody know what is going to happen this season. That is what makes football so great. Any team can be the next 1999 Rams, 2000 Ravens, 2001 Patriots, etc. Nobody knows, they just makes their best guesses.

Take it what its worth, his opinion and relax.

Not even the pros get it right. How many teams passed on Marino?....

What I hate is that none of them will take the heat when we do prove them wrong. They'll all say "I knew they would bounce back from last year."

I'd be interested to see what Salisbury said about San Diego after they finished 4-12 two years ago and then finished 12-4 last year.

Salisbury, Theisman, and Collinsworth have lifetime meberships to my A$$hole Announcers Club!

That's whatevery one thinks. I love that Miami is flying below the radar right now. maybe some teams early in the year might take us as being softer than we really are.

The dis-respect won't last long...

At least Dr. Z had the guts to admit he was wrong. I'm not sure Salisbury would admit anything.

maybe no one cares, we really shouldn't, but this guys arrogance and ignorance has really started to annoy me.

they just asked the question at the end of nfl live to salisbury and fat golic

"what team will be more improved in 2005, the bears or dolphins"

of course both said the bears, but then salisbury follows it up with "i can gauruntee you miami will finish in last place this year, but i can't say the same about the bears"

i would love nothing more than to make this idiot eat his words.

We still have huge question marks at QB, DT, CB and all across the OL!

Lets not forget that Brown still isnt signed!

I'd love to see the Phins go 8-8 or better but I just dont see it happening.

In the "3 man team of commentators I'd be forced to listen to if I were banished to HELL" catagory, they would be Phil Simms, Joe Theismann, and Paul Maguire their sidline reporter\statitician would be none other than the great Sean Salilbury.

Those are the 4 biggest tools in broadcasting.....yes, even worse than Terry Bradshaw. I don't like Terry one bit but but the closest he gets to that crew is having to wear Phil Simms old jock on his head...in hell!

I have my own guarantee

I guarantee that the next time Salisbury opens his mouth, he's gonna say something really stupid and then look super fat

Remember this came from Sean Salisbury. if this guy knew half as much as he thinks he does NFL teams would be offering him a job. him and collinsworth are two of the most annoying anylists IMO.

I don't mind if these "sports talk" guys pick Miami to finish last or have 4 wins. Who really cares when what is it really BUT their opinion. HOWEVER, when a scrub like that makes a GUARANTEE comment - that is just someone that has it in for a team. How can he guarantee anything like that? Is he playing? He has no impact on what happens to the team so how can he Guarantee anything. Makes him look like an as@ IMO. BTW is he on the Barkley diet plan? Sean could play Oline now.

That is exactly it. Dr Z took accountability. People dont like Kiper but I have to admit the odd time this guy is wrong he takes accountability for it. A guy like Salisbury makes so many lame predictions and is never held accountable for whatever he gets wrong.

Example of Seans football analysis.

"I really like what Denny Green is doing out in the desert, he picked up some nice young players. It now comes down to if Kurt Warner can still play"
- that is great, this is what everyone else says Sean.

"The New England Patriots and the Philadelphia Eagles are the model of how to run an organization in this league"
- once again thanks for more stuff we didnt know.

"Minnesota is improved without Randy Moss. Their defence is much better than years ago and they will see they dont need a guy that quits on their team"
- I havent heard that before.

"Look out for the San Deigo Chargers, they are something to contend with"
- Too bad you didnt say that before their breakout year.

"The Seahawks are going to be one of the teams fighting for a spot at the Superbowl in the NFC Championship come playoff time."

"The Seahawks are not as good as everyone thinks they are"
- a few months apart yet flipped his mind like everything else.

The point is this guy offers nothing but boring comments that would only be interesting if they were brought up 1 year before. He brings nothing new or insightful to commentary and spends all his time trying to bash worse teams to put his identity out there. If I bash the Saints people will think I must know what I am talking about. Just rides the coatails of the rest of the commentators in the league and probably watches less football than an average fan. There are very few people out there that piss me off as much as Salisbury and that was before he started ripping into the Dolphins in the last week. Bottom line is this guy doesnt do any research, he doesnt have any inside sources, he has an average concept of football despite playing the sport, and he has no personality to boot. WHY IS THIS GUY ON TV.

Salisbury was nothing more than a third string QB in the NFL. When was the last time he had a prediction that was correct?
