Salty Tua

Honestly easy to forget that when Aaron Rodgers took over for Brett Favre, the media took that whole first year to dump and mock him. Rodgers never forgot but he became very cynical and distrusting. A lot of the media (most of whom have left Miami and essentially become irrelevant in failing independent media outlets) trashed Tua for 2 years.

In short? Talk yo **** Uce

The Dolphins quarterback is the only player in the league to complete over 60% of his passes on passes of 10-plus air yards. He also has the highest passer rating (128.1) on passes that traveled 10-plus air yards.

Tagovailoa was 15 of 19 for 302 yards with two touchdowns and zero interceptions on passes that traveled for 10-plus air yards Sunday, a passer rating of 153.8. 78.9% of those passes went to wide receivers.

I still think Miami is the third best team in the AFC and will likely have to get it done as a wildcard.

But, the addition of Chubb gives them a legitimate chance. It's pretty incredible where Miami's passing game is at the halfway point. Could it get even better? Will the run game emerge with Jeff Wilson added?

Lots to feel good about. Obviously, have to string together some wins, stay relatively healthy, clean up penalties etc.

The problem with 24/7 news and sports is there are always those in the media with no talent trying to make a name for themselves by pretending to be an expert.

Those individuals who have been questioning Tua as an NFL QB were never smart enough to recognize the fact that the former head coach was undermining Tua by hiring an incompetent offensive coaching staff and giving him no support with the players around him while running a high school level offense.

He also did everything possible to bring in another QB to replace Tua while it was obvious the communication between the head coach and Tua was non existent.

Like Rogers, Brady, and Brees, Tua is going to spend the rest of his career proving how stupid those in the media and the others who questioned his ability at the NFL really are.

I know there's always an "if" in the NFL. But if Tua can stay healthy, I don't think there will be a doubt with that Tua versus Herbert argument. There may not be a doubt regarding Tua versus Burrow either.

Could it be that Grier landed the best quarterback from that draft?
