Bengals | Team reaches agreement in principle with S. Adams
Thu, 30 Mar 2006 18:09:04 -0800
ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the Cincinnati Bengals have reached an agreement in principle with free agent DT Sam Adams (Bills) on an undisclosed contract. Financial details of the contract were not yet available, but sources said Adams can make about $4 million in 2006 if he reaches certain playing time and performance levels. The deal will likely not be signed until the weekend. There are still some details to be completed and it is believed the Bengals want Adams to take a physical exam before the deal is officially executed.

Well, I guess we waited to long, or Saban just wanted to go in a different direction.

Yeah, Adams would be a nice addition but we have too much age on that huge (in weight :p) defensive line so I'm halfway glad we didn't sign him

We have Traylor and now we know Manny will get more playing time. I am glad we didn't sign him considering how much the Bengals could be paying him!

Does this take the Bengals out of the running for Arrington..?

But Manny can't play the 3-4 NT spot. Right now we only have Traylor, we need someone else to help out.

Vet stop gaps are not how I want this team to progress....We have plenty of talent at DT. Time for Manny to step up.

But I'll bet him and Vickerson get burn at the 3-4 DE spot..

JT will be standin up.. and oohh man if we get Arrington on the other, that'll be like LT and Carl Banks.. (Zack and Crowder inside..UGLY!!!)

Steve Mcnair will never be a back up to anyone, hes a definet Starting QB and is being released because of his 23.48 mil Salary, and that puts their salary at 102 mil. He wants $$$$$$$$$$$ and he wants to be a starter.

LaVar Isn't a Must, i think no matter what happens we'll be fine with or without him, i'd personally perfer Drafting a young LB with some good talent
