I know draft picks are a premium and running back is not a big need, but with Damian Williams being a free agent and all, I have a big football crush on Perine. He's a 235 bull whose style would team well with Ajayi's. In my dream backfield I would pound defenses with Perine and Ajayi and then hit them with a steady dose of Kenyan Drake as well. If I could steal DJ Foster from deep on the Patriots roster as my 4th back and receiver out the backfield I would die a happy man. If I can't get Foster maybe I could get Joseph Yearby as an undrafted free agent.

Again I know he's not a big need but I think Perine is going to be a very very good NFL running back. The type that three or four years from now every team is kicking themselves for passing on.

I will say this - there appears to be alot of RB' on the market in FA so if you want one in the draft you may be able to get one late..

Potential free agent RB's include: Adrian Peterson, Eddie Lacy, LeGarrette Blount, Latavius Murray, Rashad Jennings, Danny Woodhead.

I actually like Mixon too, but I admit I have a soft spot for backs that are either extremely physical like Perrine or very fast and ultra elusive. D'onta Foreman from Texas could fit that big back role too at 6'0 250, but even though Perrine is little lighter I think he has a more physical style. Foreman is nice but he doesn't always use his size to his advantage. If Foreman ran with the style and agressiveness of Perrine I would sell the farm for him.

Damien is a restricted FA. I have no idea if they will tender him considering we have Drake already and gave up a 3rd for him but the lowest tender is for right of first refusal and is worth about 1.7M. He made 600k last year and had 6 TD's.

Damien is nice for the role he played and even though he's a free agent I doubt he would be difficult to keep. He's one of those guys that can do a lot of things and is handy to have around, but he's never just going get you overly excited either. I would be ok with a Perrine, AJayi, Drake and Williams backfield, but with Williams being a free agent I don't like the idea of my 4th guy possibly being the highest paid back in the room. Even skipping on Perrine and drafting James Conner on day 3 seems like too much of a pipe dream for me. In my non-dream world Miami with Ajayi, Drake, Williams and giving someone like Allen a tryout might be the best I can hope for.

So theoretically if Stills' market price is $1.5 per TD...... Does that mean Damien should get a $9 million per year deal?

Just kidding of course. [emoji6]

Which round is Perine projected to be drafted? I also like the big physical RBs and he looks very big and very physical. When they give Jay Ajayi a little rest they can bring this guy on...

It's still early and things can change a lot, but I've been seeing a lot of late 3rd /mid 4th round grades on Perrine. If Miami hadn't traded its regular 3rd round pick they could have considered the 3rd comp on Perrine.

Add Jamaal Charles to that list

Not bad, too many DB's miss tackles on him, didn' t see enough of what does with DL. Had some nice holes in that clip. Now the NFL is another whole kind of monster. Can he break Sun's tackle or knock him back.

I wouldn't hold against if he can't knock Suh back. The backs that can do that are few and far between. Perine's style will transfer to the NFL, think of a young quicker version of former Chargers/Falcons running back Michael Turner.

I'm sorry, but Perine is going to get tackled in the NFL. People are not going to bounce off of him like in his highlight videos. Perine has no hip extension and does not explode through his strides. The reason he can take so much abuse is because he skips across the turf with his choppy stride. But he is going to get tackled in the NFL. Another Trent Richardson type that doesn't scare NFL defenses.

The reason that Ajayi has been successful is that he's big and lumbering, but he's also explosive and fast as hell. He can really shift out of low gear and turn on the jets when he gets into space. I don't see that from Perine. He's going to get out-angled and tackled before he ever turns it north.

We shall see. I think he will run like a Perine-oceros in the NFL. Maybe Perine-o for short. At worse he might be a better version of Christine Micheal or Spencer Ware.
